Got into track back in the early 60's, I started writing things down on index cards. Everything that happened before my time I researched. I guess hobby would work.
Sprinting hurdles and long jump I pretty much have covered. The football/track connection one of my pet interests also.
What sprinter, dead or alive, would you like to have dinner with? What football player would you like to have dinner with?
Eulace Peacock, imagine knowing you could have won three Olympic medal if given the shot. Love to hear what that was like.
Leroy Kelly. having to sit on that bench watching Jim Brown, knowing you can do the same things,,,,kinda, would love to hear what that experience was like.
The following year after Brown retired Kelly knocked out three 1200ish seasons scoring around 40ish TD's and averaged over 5 yards a carry in each season. We have never seen a star like Brown retire then the cat replacing him comes real close to duplicating his exploits.
Great time to be a Browns running back fan.
Neve have figured out why the Browns with Bobby Mitchell let him go so they could draft Ernie Davis, That made vo sense at all.
