There are Vemo receipts of him paying underage girls. You are so eager to have a 'non swamp' AG that you will cheer an appointment like that? Pretty damn slimey, Newname.
And you are willing to accept as a man in charge of the DoJ someone who only briefly practiced law. And he has been a politician for the rest of his adulthood. He IS part of the swamp you fool. He just is on the team grifters and sex pests you prefer.
And the stupid people you voted for allowed CHAS and the Summer of Love. A good reason I avoid your city.
You are so eager to jump on me to defend the scumball Gaetz from criticism that you make a fool of yourself. As I've written many times here, I am in the Seattle suburbs. I have never voted for any office holder in Seattle.
Whether you avoid Seattle or not is of no concern to me, but since you live in Boise don't pretend that you are punishing Seattle by not regularly driving in for dinner and a movie.
On a related note, you seem to periodically attack me on this board. I'm not certain why as we never have met. I guess that is just you.
This is simply the first of many upcoming public loyalty tests for the GOP. Trump and his people are watching very closely to see who publicly pushes back.
Dont expect many to do so. Many GOP lawmakers are already shaking their heads in disgust but then sayin “no comment.”
GOP dissenters will be made to disappear. First figuratively then literally if necessary

I am sure you are a fine person. Your politics are not. Regarding Seattle, I enjoyed my time visiting there when my daughter attended University of Washington Law School. But like where I grew up in Los Angeles, they are not the same in ten short years. Liberal administered government has created cesspools of filth and crime. For no other reason than some lunatic social agenda.

American public has a spine now. We really won't put up with this BS. When it comes to children, sorry, but no amount of clout Trump has can override the disgust this kind of appointment draws.
We'll probably vote out anyone who votes to confirm this guy if their seat is up for the midterms.

I used to wonder why people attacked you on this board. The wonder is starting to dissipate.
Soon after he is confirmed, Gaetz will drop all pending Capitol rioter prosecutions after he conducts a "review" of the files, stating that there are no grounds to further prosecution. That will pave the way for (1) Trump to pardon most or all the Capitol rioters who pled guilty (it's impossible to retract their guilty pleas) and (2) Gaetz to seek resentencing of any Capitol rioter who was convicted of a felony based on "new information." I think they will leave all the Capitol rioters who pled to misdemeanors alone for at least for a year to see how the letting the felons go shakes out. But the misdemeanor rioters will likely all get some kind of relief as well, like their fines returned and probations terminated.
I hope I'm wrong, but I doubt I am. I think Gaetz's appointment shows where Trump wants to go with this. This really sucks. Just depressing where this country is going.

he'll also lower the age of consent to 15 so he can drop charges against himself.

You silly poster.
The days of voting out Trumpism ended Nov 5th.
The American people want this. Just read our Trumpers thoughts. They love it.
There are Vemo receipts of him paying underage girls.
That's horseapples.
You are confusing him with his acquaintance, Joel Greenberg.
Convicted fraudster Joel Greenberg, who cooperated extensively with the Justice Department’s sex-trafficking probe into GOP Rep. Matt Gaetz, was sentenced Thursday to 11 years in prison by a federal judge in Florida. Greenberg, a former Seminole County tax collector, previously pleaded guilty to underage sex trafficking, wire fraud, stalking, identity theft, producing a fake ID card, and conspiring to defraud the US government. He has been in jail since early 2021 and will get some credit for time served. “I have never seen a defendant who has committed so many different types of crimes in such a relatively short period,” said district Judge Gregory Presnell, who has been on the federal bench for decades and has sentenced more than 1,000 defendants.
Gaetz has denied ever paying for sex or having sex with a minor, and no charges have been filed against Gaetz. CNN reported in September that prosecutors recommended against an indictment,
Greenberg is a criminal and a liar and the only one who accused Gaetz

Liz Cheney and the entire J6 House Committee was a sham. And if nothing else she committed serious ethical violations. And it will be pretty difficult to prosecute since the committee destroyed all records.

It will be way, way worse. Gaetz job will be to administer retribution AND rewrite history with prosecutions.Trump will pursue the judges, attorneys and even lawmakers with bogus charges to perpetuate his narrative that he was politically persecuted via the Justice department.
There will be mass resignations but Trump doesn’t mind that. He will restaff with loyalists.
All these are official acts that Trump is immune from prosecution

He's not a pedo. His best friend is.
Now, where have I heard that before?
Party of family values, my ass!
Greenberg is not his best friend and Greenberg is a pedo and convicted criminal.
Gaetz was investigated by the Garland Justice system and no charges were brought.

The DoJ LIED about the charges. They invented the charges out of thin air to attack someone they didn't like politically.

Seattle isn't what it used to be (to be honest, many places are like that). It is a combination of liberal policies and that people that move here. There is now some movement back towards the center (the new mayor was the most moderate of the Democratic candidates), but it has a long way to go. The only defense of current Seattle I'll offer is that the stuff that gets the most negative press is confined to a fairly small part of the Seattle land mass.
I can't respond to a general claim of ethical breaches, but the Jan 6 Committee report and evidence is here:
The House committee that investigated the attack on the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, issued a more than 800-page report presenting and analyzing the evidence about what happened that day. It also released videos, transcribed...
