Should USATF and/or Noah Lyles told the world before the race that Lyles was positive for Covid?

Let's think this through here. 3 years ago, we weren't allowed to go to Tokyo without multiple Covid free tests and once there we had to sign out of our hotel even if we left for 1 minute. Now, a guy can have a positive Covid-19 test and USATF doesn't even issue a press release so at least others could take precautions? I'm honestly not sure on the correct answer to this but it shows you how much has changed.I guess probably not, but if you've got no problem telling the world afterwards, then it's clear the only reason you didn't tell them before hand is you'd be afraid the IOC wouldn't let you compete.Thoughts?

USATF should have alerted IOC officials who should have told volunteers who would be in close contact with athletes that a COVID positive athlete was competing. They then could have masked if their immune system or a near contact's immune system was compromised.

exactly. took me two seconds on google that there aren't any official COVID protocols for the Paris Olympics. Rojo is ostensibly a professional journalist and he couldn't figure that out beforehand. f*cking loser
