Jesus, mods. Please don't delete a thread like this. It's very topical and very specific - not a duplicate of the overall Opening Ceremony thread.
I just fast watched the opening ceremony with my 6-yr-old and LOVED it. I was thinking, "Wow the billions on the Olympics are worth it." Now I was fast forwarding through most of it so I may have missed some things.
But when that sex part happened - I did try to tell my wife that I thought they were referencing a three-some and she said I was crazy.
I thought the book said, "mé·nage à trois" or something like that.
Anyway, I think sometimes stuff like in a kids movie where there is an adult reference that is over the kids head is ok. But I was kind of wondering how far they pushed it.
Now that my son is aslseep and I"m working on the homepage and googling aroun to find the sentiment of what people thought, I was stunned to see they mocked the last supper?
Dod anyone see this:1) When did that happen?
2) Did NBC show it?
Did NBC actually skip them mocking Christians as well? Bravo to them if they did as I didn't see it. If they did show it, please let me know when it was on the broadcast. When I was watching live, I kind of thought Tirico was doing a good job of downplaying the sex stuff. Did they just not air the last supper?
Rojo - I implore you to do some more research before you allow a news article to creative a narrative in your head.
It was a fashion show over a bridge. Context.
