This is my go to running place. It most likely was very light at the time it was happening. That place also gets quite a bit of use. My neighbors and hub & dog were there very close to the time. I went later as, unknown to me, the investigation was just getting started and inadvertently walked into the area they were trying to cordon off. The coroner's van arrived as I left after getting questioned by one of the huge swarm of LEOs. It seems like the exact spot was quite close to the most heavily used paths & roads. (The place is a not so big area with tons of trails, like spaghetti, and gets used for tons of purposes including band practice and all sorts of UGA classes and programs.) So this lowlife walked from his apartment over the train tracks on a trail into the back part of the park and did his horribleness in broad daylight where he could have been noticed if circumstances were slightly different. It was a very risky move on his part, from my point of view. That makes it all the more infuriating and heartbreaking.

Me again. Can someone ban the insane guy, stat?

I coach high school and had to talk our AD out of locking up the track a while back. The problem is, people are stupid and will disrespect public facilities or cause problems. Once that happens at one school, it can have a cascading effect because all the area AD's talk to each other about this stuff.

It makes me angry that the murderer shouldn't have even been in the country in the first place. Crossed the border illegally with his brother. The brother has been arrested three times (THREE TIMES!!!) for drunk driving and shoplifting and still hasn't been deported. What kind of clown world are we living in?
