Dwight Howard has five acknowledged children from five different mothers, though he's rumored to have eight total. He seems to be a very engaged father. However, not everyone seems to appreciate him having his kids (boy vs. girl, in one video) boxing each other solely in the head (with head protection) or forcing his nine-year old to keep cycling on a stationary bike when he says it's too hard and he wants to stop. So, Dwight is definitely not one of those rich athletes who is going to let his kids be mediocre. As for the sexuality, there are those who perform the deed without understanding themselves according to the social identity of the time--something Christians seem to encourage and Dwight early in his career was known for his Christianity and he continues to cite the Bible everywhere. So, it is easy to psychoanalyze him from a distance as overcompensating and denying his 'identity' because he's been taught by his church that it is a sin.
