I never doubted her at all because I know Bobby wouldn’t let her race if she wasn’t showing decent times in training and from her interview she ran faster times in trialing.
Find a username and stick with it and stop throwing negativity and hiding your hand. She did better than good, she made the team when all you haters said she wouldn't even be a factor. Regardless of her accomplishments in her youth, MOST of you dismissed her current ability at 1500m.
Yes she definitely could run FASTER than 4:03 this year when many of you said she couldn't run sub 4:10. Stopping changing your negativity and grow some...

Dude you went on and on about how she could easily set every record at the 1500!!!
She just got beat twice? And yet you're claiming some amazing triumph???
You were on a social media high and you just got completely treated???
4:03 1520 meters is what it was. She sure likes to run on the line between lane 1 and 2, even if no one is on the insider of her. Ok for 800, sort of. Needs to learn to move in if doing that for almost 4 laps.
Yared Nuguse is also African-American in the same way because he too was born here.
The fact that you use Nuguse as another example of an "African-American", shows me that you are being purposefully obtuse, and that you yourself are aware of the distinction.
I agree I find her running on the outside of lane 1 every race 600m.or longer a bit odd. The reason she does it is it makes it harder for her to be boxed in and she is confident of being able to hold her opponents off inside or outside of her. (Didn't work with Nikki but Athing will get her number too).
PLEASE STOP posting your nonsense. Athing just dropped her 1500m time from 4:16 to 4:03 and beat all of the USA top 1500m runner (except 1) with more EXPERIENCE! Being that it was a championship race and not a paced GP meet, I'm sure she is capable of much faster right now. Yared is a 3:29 man and he won his race in 3:34. Championship races are very seldomly ran like a ultra fast paced GP.
So her personal best might be 4:03 but it not indicative of her limit in a paced fast race.

There a few on these boards that felt that Mu could never be a credible 1500 performer, but I think the main sentiment was that she would never be as good at the 1500 as she could be at the 400, and her natural double is the 400/800 and not the 800/1500. Do you disagree with this? Despite her running 4:03 and coming second, this has not changed. If she was training all season to perform well in the 400, she’d be a favorite right now for a global medal, if not gold. It’s far less likely she’ll achieve this same level in the 1500, and certainly, she’s not at this level now. With little extra work Mu is a low 49 performer and possibly sub 49, so at most there are very few performers better. In the 1500 she remains 14 seconds off the world lead and how many others are between her and Kipyegon?

Dude stop your nonsense. It's not an amazing thing for someone with that much talent
I mean everyone knows she's fast, so running a 404 is good but it doesn't prove she can medal at that distance...
If she wins more gold in the 800 and then eventually medals in the 1500 you're right
If she doesn't win another gold in the 800 again and she never medals in the 1500 you're wrong

Yes seriously man, she's only 21 so why not focus on the speed for now and then eventually move up as she gets older and doesn't have the 400 speed
Anyway there was some guy going on and on about how easy it would be her to dominate the 1500
I'm just assuming it's the same dude. But she did not look like someone who could easily dominate the 1500
I mean none of those runners she competed against are probably top 20 in the world, maybe not even top 30.

I don't disagree at all. But we have no idea about Kersee's long term plan for her. For all we know he might be emphasizing strength this year with 2024 being a year where he focuses on speed.
