I think it's a good sign that she's declining media interviews until after the USATF. I think her mindset (or whatever you want to call it) is a lot more stable and focused, and with her talent this translates well to performance on the track. At this point she's my top pick for Budapest gold, and I'm not a fan of SCR (I'm neutral; neither like nor dislike).
Let’s face it, ScR has a lot of haters. What will the haters say about her when she is the world champion in the 100?
She may end up winning the USATFs for the 200 as well. Chances she is the world champ in the 100 & 200?
In all honesty I don’t believe she can beat Shericka Jackson in the 200, but I’ll not be surprised if she is the USA’s top 200 runner ahead of Gabby Thomas or Tamara Clark.
obvious doper is obvious. She served her ban, which they covered up as a marijuana ban, and is back on the sauce with knowledge of how to to better beat the tests.
They can all beat the system now. We are seeing it with astonishing performances in every event, from sprints to distance and field events. The circus - uh, the sport - depends on it.
After her suspension and given all the toxic people who are around the world of elite sprinters, there were way more ways for SCR to go off the rails than there were for her to get it together and have the season she is having. Whether or not you like her interview or social media presence, you have to give her credit for her focus on her training this season given the microscope she has been under.
I think the only question for SCR is whether 10.7 is a barrier for her or whether she can go any lowers. I think 10.7 can win at worlds, but it may take closer 10.6. SCR looks pretty relaxed reeling off 10.71 and may show her cars with another PR in the final. But Ta Lou and the Jamaicans may be ready to go under 10.7 at Worlds.
I'm thinking that she still has some in the tank and can get down to 10.6ish - maybe 10.63 to 10.67 range.
I still have not watched video of her heat. did she stay focused all the way through the line? She has had some results this season that she started celebrating a bit too early or eased up a bit early. When it comes to the WC she can lose if she does that. She seems more mature this year so I would think she will show restraint in celebrating and to run hard all the way through the finish.

Funny that you posted this. I just went looking for this thread to see if I could find it because I couldn’t remember what I said I thought she was capable of.
If ScR can stay focused and work on her start and the early part of the race, she may be able to get under 10.6 between now and Paris. She is the the future of the event for the US.

That one is harder to predict.
Richardson is more of an underdog in the 200. TBH, I don’t believe she is one of the favorites but a top 3 finish won’t surprise me. Her PB & SB is 21.94 but I think she can go about .05 to .10 faster now. That may not be enough to win, though.
I’m going to say Shericka is the favorite. Thomas is a wildcard. She seems so inconsistent. If she’s on, she’ll challenge for the win. If not, she won’t medal.
My predicted order of finish -
1. Jackson 2. Thomas 3. Between Richardson, Alfred, & DAS
