Thought it was obvious but you've gotten a lot of responses.

Not trying to be a "troll". I asked a legitimate question and good, honest and well-meaning but sadly highly indoctrinated from decades of NASA, school text books, peers, repetitive television watching has tricked most of said well-meaning people into believing several lies and there is literally nothing I can say or write to fix this. Folks wake up and some do not...a choice.

"Hovering" is reference frame dependent, but there exist satellites at the two body Lagrange points that are "plausibly stationary" in a commonly used reference frame.

One is the Deep Space Climate Observatory at the sun/earth L1 point.

1. I'm a part of the problem for clicking on this, reading it, and responding. Guilty as charged.

2. Some a-hole decided that this was a reasonable use of one's time. I mean, compared to taking fentanyl, sure, but ... why do this s**t? Really? We like running, and we like connecting with other human beings' genuine interests, especially if they share other interests (e.g., running) with us, don't we?

Why eff with that and lead people astray? There are lots of non-serious means of entertainment? What for f**ks sake would you choose for it to be this?

Since I'm part of the problem now, I might be a ways away from being part of the solution, but if others are reading this:

-- anybody do any great volunteer work lately?

That the OP was trolling and not particularly interested in the content of any response was obvious from the outset. I'll be the first to admit I don't understand the mentality of people who sh1t stir on social media.
