Can't really tell what's going on or how she ran it, but her facial expression at the end was that she couldn't wait for the race to finish...which is not a sign of 200m greatness.
Her upcoming races will be telling. I can't wait to see her blast a wind-legal 10.7 :^)
She looks GOOD for the 100m. I mean, REALLY good, IMO.
What a year: SAFP, ETH maybe, Shericka Jackson, Alfred, SCR, not to mention DAS, Ta Lou, and others. What a potential final field! Seriously, if they are all in shape, this could be the fastest final field in history.
Britton ran only 53.23 in hurdles, not good, with her speed it should be 52 PB this time...
Anna Hall only equaled her hurdles PB 54.48, not good, she was training to alternate legs and do 14 strides...
Considering the wind readings for most of this meet (except, magically, for the w200), 53-low is a very solid opener for Wilson.
In my world, wind readings would be recorded for every race, regardless of distance, so that we can better evaluate conditions.
I’d say Wilson’s run yesterday was excellent based on this noteworthy context from Dyestat: Wilson's time was the fastest ever by a collegiate athlete in April and trails only Sydney McLaughlin (52.75) and Kori Carter (53.21) on the all-time collegiate list.
Told you Orogot was great. Watch the link in this thread and see how he handled the indoor turn (not well), and how he finished (great) in the 2nd section of the indoor NCAA 200m:
This video is an original broadcast and production of ESPN Networks and the SEC. I have claimed no ownership of this material, nor profit from it in any way....

You are wrong, she is no longer at collegiate level, she is 2nd fastest in indoor 400, just from month ago something, she is "pro".
Britton just ran 49.51 for 400 dash, there is a problem with her hurdling.
She is simply inconsistent, ran 53.72 in sf at Oregon and then only 54.02 for fifth whereas her 53.08 from USATFs from June would have given her bronze medal...
She is the same age as Femke Bol now, you can't compare her results to SML's 52.75. SML ran this time at still 18 !
If Wilson could ran 49.48 just month ago and 49.51 today then she should have 52 PB yesterday without any problem.
This year Femke below 51.50 or better without any problem and Britton should run sub-52 too.
A big ol’ asterisk should be next to a few of those names.
Is this better?

It's popular to call out Flojo but the facts show she was never sanctioned for any PED use. She was as clean as Usain Bolt.
Gabby Thomas was erroneously provisionally suspended due to a mistake by one of the doping control officers and she provided evidence that cleared her. She has no violations against her name.

I understand your point. Her 400 times this year are definitely better than what she ran yesterday in the hurdles. I just think your assessment is overly harsh. Yesterday was her first hurdles race of the year; I’m sure she’ll run faster as the year goes on with more time to work on her technique and adjust to her improved speed. I’ve never run the hurdles, but I imagine getting faster in the open 400 requires someone to make adjustments in their hurdling.
I also think it’s unfair to say she’s inconsistent. Last year, she steadily improved during the collegiate season, and she ran her best collegiate times at the races that mattered the most: the SEC Championships and NCAA Championships. Then she shattered her PB at the US Championships to make the team. At the World Championships, she ran the second-fastest time of her life in the semifinals, and then ran 0.3 slower in the final. Perhaps she was just tired from the long season and running so hard in the semifinals.
Femke is now 23 (Wilson turned 22 in November) and a full-time pro. Wilson is still a college student. One who just ran the fastest 400 hurdles time ever by a female collegian in April. I think she’s doing just fine.

You are naive and too much American^^
No one cares about SEC Champs (and even about NCAA to tell the truth) and also her NCAA Champs performance was not that which mattered the most.
NCAA is just a temporary store/repository for those not talented enough. Really talented athletes like Athing Mu or SML leave the collegiate system very soon, after one year max; Anna Hall left after 3 years (with career threatening injury in between).
Wilson's most important event in 2022 was USATF Champs and then Worlds (where in the final she ran not 0.3 slower compared to her sf time no one cares about but nearly a second slower than her PB, 0.94 exactly).
To understand this, the only right, point of view you should understand what for example Anna Hall did. In 2021, she skipped heptathlon at NCAAs to focus on Olympic Trials (where she broke her foot, that is another story) - she competed only in the high jump at the outdoor NCAAs. This is how she was thinking. (And yes - in 2022 she didn't skip heptathlon at outdoor NCAAs in June but in July at World she made an almost 300 points PB, she was very strong and getting only better that year).
So maybe that is a little true that new speed needs adaptation in hurdles but if Britton could set NCAA record in flat (and North American record indoors a month before) she should have had at least PBs in hurdles. (sorry for my III conditional).
But all that doesn' matter. To clarify: Wilson's most important events this year will be USATFs and Worlds once again. With her PB she would have had bronze medal in Oregon. She has a chance for a medal in Budapest. So I will tell you once again: no one cares about her outdoor NCAAs this year, not to mention the SECs and the like.

And btw. Femke and Britton are the same age. I understand that it's adopted in media and press to calculate the age with month of birth (and I agree - but only for biography reasons, to underline someone's accomplishments) - but they are both 23 yo category in athletics - U24 exactly (Wilson is not U23 this year - this is how it is calculated and this is how it is).

To not care about the NCAAs and the SECs is to dismiss some excellent performances. The indoor NCAAs provided 10 or more world-leading marks, many by SEC athletes. Oh, well … your loss.

I know for a fact that some of Alfred’s competitors care about NCAA results, especially those who have been there themselves.

NCAA T&F is so "popular" in the US that even no one newspaper, tv/radio has written about Wilson's CR.
Only wrote: world-track.org - spamming site, Arkansas Razorbacks - as they should, no on read it, World Athletics - they they are just good at judging and know what is good and what is not, and USTFCCCA - they are good at judging too...
No mention/article from Lets Run, no thread on LR forum, no one like Wilson, there are only those childish Tuohy fans...
The same time about Rhasidat Adeleke's performance wrote all main Irish newspapers...
