I am sorry about what you are going through. Does your XC coach have a cordial relationship with your track coach where a conversation between the two might convince her to allow you to move up in distance?
You have a decent 200 time. With your endurance, soccer, xc skiing, if I were your coach, I would actually be looking at you for the 800. Maybe that distance can be your compromise?

ask to be a 400-800 distance trained long sprinter type. maybe run 4x4 and 300h as well plenty of distance runner run the 300

If this is all remotely true, don't quit the team, keep telling coach you want to run 1600. Run 2 miles at end of every practice/sundays, you won't lose Nordic skiing/ distance fitness this way. Train over summer. Kick butt in xc. Have the fight w/ track coach at start of next yr armed w/ xc results.

Roller skiing a real thing in her state. Training groups and individual roller skiers go by my house in a different part of that state every day in the summer. She gave enough information that it was easy to find her ID and results. I'm obviously not saying for her privacy.
I'd say just continue to talk to your coach to ask for opportunities to train and race the 1600. Run and rollerski over the summer to do well in cross country next fall. That will establish your distance ability if you don't get much opportunity this spring.

Ran my 3200 TT, keep in mind it is the first event I’ve ran over 400 meters (on a track) and I haven’t don’t a running speed workout since October becuase I’ve been skiing. Besides that I was running alone because I dropped the girl I was supposed to run with 300m in.
My time was 14:29. Room for improvement? Definitely.
I decided to look at it the same way I would for my first 5k last season. It was around 25. The more I trained and the more I worked, the lower my time became. I believe a similar turn of events will happen here. I’ll tell my coach and make it happen.
Guarantee you would have been faster with some company! Good for you for doing this on your own. I hope your coach takes notice.
Great job on your 3200! I really respect the way you defended yourself here on the board. If you keep at it from now til fall, I think you'll be pleasantly surprised with the improvement you see. Good luck keep us posted.
