Thanks, was more or less what I was thinking. I was thinking to go out 7:23-7:25 and then adjust.
Race is sunday the 26th sorry. Should i do some more hard work or just easy easy miles?
with the race on the 26th, you still have time to sharpen your fitness and give yourself a chance to peak on race day. This weekend you could run something like, "1k warmup, 5k hard effort, 1k cooldown." During the 5k hard effort, don't worry about hitting goal pace, but really try to focus on how the hard effort feels. If you aren't hitting the exact goal pace, don't freak out.
Besides that last tempo workout this weekend, I would only run 3-4 more times between November 20th-Race day. My race week typically looks like:
30 minutes of light jogging on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday. OFF Thursday, OFF Friday. And a very light 30 minute jog the Saturday before the race, and then it's race day! Good luck!
