Echoing OR, best of luck to everyone running Boston! Weather forecast looks great, should be a good day to run fast!
Thoughtsleader: Really pulling for a negative test and that you are still able to compete.

Stopped by the booth today, can confirm.
Good luck to my fellow Boston Marathon runners!
I've made a return to Boston this year and already stopped by RRR's booth to say hi.
The weather looks like it may be decent this year. Maybe a bit of a headwind in the latter part of the race for the slower ones like me. My training for this one has lacked motivation as well as having to deal with some new and recurring injuries has really kept me from putting in same level of training as I have in the past. The potentially favorable weather has me regretting not having better training going into the race. I haven't posted to this thread in a while, but thought I would stop in and give shout out to the Boston runners. After seeing RRR today I thought I would stop in and catch up on the current RR&T thread and was surprised with how many were going to Boston this year.
Small correction. It looks like it will be a tailwind in the latter part of the race 12-2pm
Was good seeing you jabronis and talking. To SI about coach Jeff and the lost phone incident and meeting IB after being strava pals.
hope to see more today. DW?!
expo is down a lot compared to 2019. maybe 60% less booths I’m guessing at a minimum. But the crowds have been pretty steady.
Good luck to everyone !
So cool you get see these folks! Weather forecast is still looking good. Can't believe it's been 22 years since my last Boston, 39 years since my first. Ha! Have you heard from Coach Jeff? Miss his wit! He also had a spring marathon planned, I think? Good luck to all the racers, and have fun Monday!
Regarding weather, I've mentioned before how perfect it was for my first Boston. Itc2aa a squandered opportunity for me, but still fun to read about:
Allen - Hope all is going well with you. I see you have been back at it. Good luck with your upcoming races. At 54 I think this may be my last marathon due to the wear and tear along with my known ailments. At least for a while. I might try to make a comeback at 60.
RRR - Earlier in the thread DW wrote that she will skip the 5k. I follow CJ on Strava and his training in terms of mileage is on the low side for a marathon. Not sure what he is up to.
SI: Thanks for the CJ update. Good to know he's still at it. Good to know YOU'RE still at it, too. A marathon comeback at 60 sounds great. It's been four years since my last, and I'm looking forward to toeing the line next month. It's really hard to permanently walk away from the fun. Hoping you get a big dose of race-day magic on Monday. Enjoy!
Allen - Enjoying a glass of white wine. How about you? May need a few days at the beach to clear my mind and relax…

Cold drizzle today, so no running. Same tomorrow plus wind, but will have to brave the elements!
Tonight, a Southern Tier (NY) Ale already consumed whilst searching for my 3rd great-grandmother's parents (she's from NJ, moved to Ithaca NY abt 1812). Maybe homemade soup and stream some TV later. Fiber optic came down our rural road last year : )
Enjoy your weekend. Happy Easter!
The announcement I hate to make: after consulting with the medical professionals around, it’s not a good idea. Risk for my heart running it so soon after. Stinks.
but I’m looking at the Martha’s Vineyard marathon May 21st.
Come and run Vermont city in Burlington with me on 5/29 Thoughtsleader.
Oh another option, I do have lodging for the MV one but extra week and no ferry is appealing
Also fast course, further north and race starts at 7am (so maybe better weather)?
