Can we talk about how idiotic it is that they had a field of 8 women in the 400m and had them run a semifinal where all 8 make the final??? Just for the sake of seeding and lane assignments (don't they already need to come in with seed times?), that's ridiculous.

One of the 7 800m runners that were DQ'd said all of the DQ's were for stepping on the line.

Regarding Brazier, I thought it didn't matter if you stepped on the outside line as long as it doesn't impede anyone. Isn't that the rule? It's hard to see anywhere that he actually stepped on the inside line if you rewatch the race. The only place possible is turn 4 (150m mark) before the break, but you can plainly see that he doesn't touch the line. Besides, this is a USA meet. It's our meet to send our best athletes to Worlds. Why are we DQ'ing athletes on ticky-tacky infringements. Can't believe I'm saying this, but without Brazier, the US men's 4 x 4 team has little chance of even getting out of the semifinal at Worlds.

Maybe the officials were hoping to DQ 7 of them like the did in the 800. Then there would be only 1 women left and she would automatically be the champion without having to run the final.

See? The officials were just trying to be efficient.

This guy is a huge talent with a little brain. He needs a real coach. Always making dumb mistakes.
If he were on the 4 x 400 team everyone would watch waiting for the DQ.

Witnessed first hand some power tripping officials. Honestly sort of a shame one lady in the holding room was talking to athletes before the race. Very off putting.
