Very sad to see this kid disappear from the scene. His times were not the best this year 4:30/1:57/50.x 400m. Confused how he isn’t able to run a low 1:50 800m with the 50.x speed. Still has a chance at something with that speed. If he can come back and run a 1:47 by senior year, that’s a win in my opinion. Especially when he’s headed on the Michael Slagowski trajectory.
If things don’t come together, he will definitely be one of the biggest “what ifs” in American running we’ve had. His brother is on pace to be at least a 3:29 guy, you’re lying to me if you’re saying Aaron wasn’t at least a 3:35 guy if everything went perfectly after hs.
I called it, just needs to shave one more second and he's in real good territory to start trying to qualify for NCAA's and USA's.
1:47 = American Sub-Elite
1:45-1:46 = American Elite
1:44 = World Elite
