thinking out loud and shape of you are awesome, but this is the best song of his:

he made his own sh*t, didn't go to special schools like most of the brit shlocksters, and has a personality
I dont consider him a compelling artist and think him sort of forgettable, but I like some things about him and said so.
The tendency to label unfavorable criticism on this thread as "denigration" or "hate" is reflective of the negative emotions of the defenders of this perfectly nice but not particularly exciting musician.
People who say "well at least he writes his own songs, unlike a lot of people..." - who cares about that, if the songs he writes are crap?
To me, Ed Sheeran is just this guy whose music sucks, and he's kind of ugly, and somehow it became this popular thing for people to like that ugly guy who makes crap music. Oh yeah, Ed Sheeran - pudgy little dork who makes bad songs...I love him!
0/10, steaming pile of poop. I would stick with my Jacob Collier.
don't know how you can see it as crap, especially compared to most of these current geniuses out there. who do you like?
you should care about who writes because the ones like ye and beyonce, with the biggest production teams allowed to them by their masters, are influential muppets that will always say and do whatever their corporate owners tell them to
