I think nobody would deny that that was a brave race.

….And there it is. Knew we couldn’t have a completely positive thread on this message board.
The first medal since 2004 in no USA woman has medaled in Women’s Marathon! That is until now, congratulations Molly Seidel
So much fun to watch, the heat and humidity really neutralizes difference in times, she was well prepared, congrats to her....
Gold Medalist has a 15:51 personal best for 5000m.
Dang.
Best showing in the games. She's quite an inspiration.

likely true, but a terribly dumb thing to write.
YOU HAVE NO ACTUAL KNOWLEDGE IF SHE IS CLENA OR NOT.
imagine being a professional and all you need to do is present yourself as a sweet, wholesome personality to the general public (people like you @Chef Gordon Ramzi) and they are deceived.
Don't be sure anyone is clean because it's impossible for you to accurately do that.

I agree. What a historic moment. Molly was beasting it up today from the get-go. She rocked!
What an awesome race. Most exciting marathon I’ve seen since Meb won Boston. Incredibly gutsy race. It epitomized why I enjoy watching the Olympics because you can see underdogs just have the race of their lives on the biggest stage and do incredible things.
Nothing great ever happens unless you are willing to take the risk and just go for it like Molly did! Great results never come from playing it safe. I wish more American distance guys and gals would be willing to take the risk of blowing up because thats when breakouts happen. Well deserved Molly!
I so nervous for her I felt sick watching the last few miles, then was just absolutely thrilled when she crossed in 3rd. A race I will never forget! Way to go, Molly!
She ran 130 mpw? Jesus
My wife, who isn’t really an athletics fan, cried at the finish when Molly started screaming in celebration. This run has mainstream pull, and that woman just became a superstar!
What an amazing performance, well above expectations!

Give me a f’in break.
Molly is white and Sydney is mixed! See how it's about Molly making whole wester world proud, how she stood against 3 Africans and how exciting it got when 1 African dropped.
Molly is not on WA testing pool. Probably doped to the gills like Shelby

No, your reaction to her effort is that of a loser. She performed like the champion she is.
The big question is: pronounced Cydle or Cy-dell?

Difficult to understand picking her performance over McLaughlin's, and this I think is the problem with exaggeration--it detracts from your main point.
Don't forget Mu either, but regardless, they all deserve the MF title.
I think you are missing the point. McLauglin & Mu were considered the favorites by most. They delivered amazing performances but it was expected of them. Very few people expected Molly to be anywhere near a medal.

Absolutely. This is the defining moment of these games for me. I could not be happier for any person at these Olympics, for anything, than I am for Molly.
