Age cheat? Are there age rules for the Olys? I must've missed that one.
Drug cheat? Evidence, please. Or are you some kind of kangaroo court commie?
Immigration cheat? If he's American enough for Barack Obama, Donald Trump and Joe Biden, he's American enough for me.
Race cheat? Yeah, maybe, but let the officials make that call. Win it ON THE TRACK. Don't cry about it after the fact.
He just collected his medal on the podium so it’s unlikely they will reverse that. Strangely, he embraced the winner, Cheptegei, but did not do so with the Canadian, Ahmed.
Also ran 12:59, within 2s of his PR.
Back to back medals. First time for a US runner....ever?
Not many back to back medals in the history of the 5000m.....Gammoudi, Viren, Baumann, Bekele, Kipchoge, Farah, Chemilo....
So when you talk about the greatest 5000m runners in Olympic history....he has to be included.
He's going to obliterate the AR.

Agree at the Olympic trials. It was close here. He races so recklessly and endangers other runners. Unless he does get the DQ I think he’ll keep doing it.
Obviously there's not going to be a DQ anymore after the medal ceremony, but this time it would have been deserved. Does anyone know if Kenya filed an appeal?

Exactly. Chelimo is a gangster. Does what he has to do to win and doesn't go crying to the refs.

I hope he doesn't because he hung his balls out to get that medal. But Kenya have a very strong case if they protest
Unfortunately, they won’t protest against one of their own.

dumb
While we all have to respect Chelimo as a runner who is very talented. Most of us in the USA root for him because we root for USA. The problem is his personality. He is very rude, cocky, and not very many people like his personality. Even his teammates, Grant and Woody, don't particularly like him.

USA what? are you applauding their immigration policies? if so you should be loving all the refugees at the boarder every day with open arms.
LMFAO.
Also I'm glad getting bronze is so exciting for you. Our immigrant boy kicked his arse.

USA! USA! Sorry that some of us have pride in our countrymen instead of calling them “our immigrant boy”. Paul Chelimo is a fighter and we are glad to have him, as evident by his medaling in his 2nd Olympics.

What medals did Grant and Woody win again? Is there a medal for wearing arm warmers in really hot weather?
