4 Mile Tempo-19:05 (4:40, 4:45, 4:45, 4:45); 6:00 recovery; 1600m-4:25; 3:00 recovery; 2 x 800-2:13/2:07 (1:15 recovery)
Only the 2nd 800m was close to his best 5000m pace. Maybe those two were date 5000m pace. So, they do a lot of volume, often 6-8 miles of intervals, at paces slower than 5000m pace.
