surely you can see why people are speculating? it would take some BTC PR intern, or even shelby or jerry themselves, all of 30 seconds to put out a social media post explaining the whole thing, and yet here we are. if the whole time trial/i need to see a special PT in AZ thing is true, just say it. that's not exactly revealing a trade secret or something. they need to get over themselves.

yeah maybe they SHOULD post something explaining themselves briefly, but bowerman is known for being secretive. Jerry's always been tight lipped about everything. And they don't exactly have the best social media/pr team as it is. So their lack of a post is far from damning. My guess is she's just still dealing with injury stuff, not doping. occam's razor

Maybe they don't want to say anything bc the 1500 and 5000m record holder dealing with injury 3-4 weeks out from the trials is a big deal and why talk to the press or whatever outlet about it.
It's pretty normal for athletes to share injury stories later or after the fact.

in a world where track fans have been deprived of action for so long, with the freakin' postponed olympic trials in mere weeks, you'd think they could get past such a hangup with "extortion" and just give a quick statement for the fans. you know, that thing that other sports have because they don't operate like a freakin' CIA blacksite.
I saw the BTC women running around Nike on Saturday morning and shelby was not with them.
Whatever the reason, it is probably bad news for those of us who enjoyed watching her explosive ascent in the last two years.
