Correct. I could careless what anyone wants to do but this is just ridiculous. When did someone’s personality have to be this whole huge thing about your gender? People like Nikki are annoying and what they stand for is just pure nonsense.

Being a male or female has to do with whether or not you have male or female reproductive organs. A persons outfit has nothing to with that. I wonder if her own post didn't do justice to whatever she's feeling. To be honest when I read it my thought was that she's just describing her personality or waking up in different moods. Some days maybe she feels like lifting weights, playing video games, and listening to heavy metal, while other days she wants to go shopping, get her nails done, and watch Lifetime. If that's the case, great, she has varied interests. But again I think her post might have just given the wrong impression.

If Hiltz takes testosterone and competes in the men's, s/he would be disadvantaged but many people would also object to his/her inclusion in the women's after hormones.

Isn't this a good example that for every trans women wanting to compete in the women's division there's probably an equally talented trans man leaving?

Bingo. That’s always been the root of much of the Liberal religion’s idiocy. They value feelings over facts. In the grand scheme, it makes perfect sense why they would gravitate toward the arts, Hollywood, media, social media, etc.

Nikki can do whatever she wants. She can call herself whatever she wants. And I’d hope that no one would ever be explicitly mean interacting with her.

But she has no idea what it feels like to be a man. It is just a 100% false statement. It is not true in any way. She may feel strange, she may feel confused. But her lack of testosterone guarantees she has no idea what it’s like to be a man. She has never experienced a testosterone-driven fit of rage. She has never experienced a raging hard on (or the incredible change that occurs the moment that hard on is alleviated). Her body is clearly that of a human with two XX chromosomes.

As far as athletic achievement goes, if she was to compete with the XY chromosome humans, she’d transition from a legit national class female... to a pretty solid high school freshman boy.

Exactly, "Some women are more masculine. Some men are very feminine"...but at the end of the day, that masculine woman is gonna menstruate and can get pregnant, and that feminine man won't be able to do any of them.

If you are a man and want to wear high heels and skirt, go ahead boy! Just be a good person to those around ya.

How can a woman be gender male when what they consider to be male gender is someone who is of the male sex? They don't know what it is like to be that sex so how can they know what it is like to be that gender? If you think about it long enough, it just doesn't make sense. She can view a male body but how can she know what a male gender is? And if people in male bodies think they are gender female, it is even more perplexing how she thinks she is gender male some days if the guys that she is basing her feelings on are secretly gender female.

What if she was shipwrecked as an infant with a handful of females and never saw a male her entire life? She couldn't be gender male then because she wouldn't know that there was such a thing as a male.

I've noticed many people are saying "I don't care if she is trans" and then proceeds to bash trans people or define exactly why they care that Nikki is trans. Never underestimate the hypocrisy of these boards. Why do we still live in an age where people are unequally treated because of race, religion, gender, sexuality, etc.

You can disapprove of someone being LGBTQ without being a jerk about it. That's your belief just as it is Nikki's to be trans.

If this was the 50s you all would be the ones proclaiming blacks are asking for too much in equal rights!

No one has a right to compete in sport. You should have a right to live your life without persecution, without people trying to kill you for who you are, without hate on the street, without all kinds of horrible things.

You don't have a right to compete in sport. You should have a right to be able to train safely. As far as I know there is nothing excluding anyone from competing in the men's division. Yes it may not be fair on Nicky but competing in the women's division after, for example, hormone treatment isn't fair on all of the women in the women's division.

We all know the arguments here. The problem with people from outside of the sport coming in is they're not aware of the VAST differences between men and women. For example, Maria Mutola. Amazing athlete. High school boys would beat her. She would finish what - in the 1000s on the men's rankings? It is not possible for a woman to compete with men. Of course there are outliers. Of course there are exceptions, amazing athletes. But the physical differences are just too vast. I don't just mean hormones. Ligaments. Q angle. Muscles. Tendons. Strength. Elasticity. All of the organs in the body.

By taking hormones or competing with any of those structural physical advantages you make the playing field so uneven that it isn't even a playing field any more. It's a cliff edge.

Agreed, seems to me that this modern propensity for females to identify as men is very regressive. In many ways, this way of thinking is much more restrictive than our near past social norms which allowed butchy females to identify as masculine lesbians or effeminate males (see glam rock in the 70s) to identify as males that are either straight or gay. Makes no sense.

Yeah, I completely agree with this. It's like they're shoving characteristics into 'male' and 'female', it's really stereotyped in a way.

A common fallacy for people like you. Education is the key to a future in our country. People with college degrees are generally paid more in their occupations. Why should blacks, the poorest race in america, not be afforded more spots in college?

You'd be hard pressed to say "I was denied from college because I'm asian" "I was denied from college because I'm white"

There's a lack of compassion and empathy for others here.
