The data does not match the narrative crafted by BLM, Lebron James, CNN, etc. I know because I studied the numbers in the wake following Floyd's death. I went in biased and ready to believe what I had seen and heard through the media. The numbers are tame and should not lead anyone to believe that black people are being targeted and hunted down at all times, all the time.

Do the rules of engagement and policing in general need to be reformed? Absolutely. I've seen and read about too many situations when cops act stupidly when attempting to de-escalate a situation. They can do better. However, to say that it's a systemic problem will cause me to ask one to show me data to support the claim.

He didn’t deserve to be killed in the street for any of that.

If we allow the police to murder people in the street at their own behest we have a real problem.

I think there’s a legitimate position that GF was enough of a threat to himself (flailing into traffic, etc) while waiting for the ambulance that it warranted restraint.

Regardless, anyone who thinks they know everything about this case and exactly how it should go is a moron. You need to know the law, view every piece of footage over and over and in extreme detail, look at toxicology reports, hear from experts, etc etc etc.

No cop involved should be convicted of murder. Possibly some other charges, but not murder. The guy essentially ODed. Chauvin kneeled on him to restrain him because he was a 200+ pound man acting wildly and erratically (because he was high, dying, and panicking).

The whole thing could have been avoided by not being dirtbag scum. Don't understand why anyone defends a POS like Floyd. Whether he died by drugs or cop, the world is a slightly better place now that he's six feet under. Unless you think holding a gun to a pregnant woman's belly and threatening to kill her makes him deserving of life.

The reaction of some of the people helplessly watching as Floyd was kneeled on says it all. They knew it was an excessive, reckless, evil and deadly abuse of power. And of course his complicit cop peers demanded everyone back away and let the cops do their "job." The thing is, these pigs are used to getting away with everything. Their cop buddies cover for them. It is a sick police culture. Once they start getting away with things, they keep upping the ante, acting more and more recklessly because they always* get away with it. *Luckily the video footage was rolling or else these cops would still be working and abusing and perhaps killing more people.

This is a man who held a gun to the stomach of a pregnant woman during a robbery. Handing a deli clerk a counterfeit bill and walking out of the store was just another example of how this man lived.

He wasn't killed in the street - he died of an overdose of fentanyl.

When this fact is pounded into a previously-biased jury, their whiplash against the media lie (omission) will acquit Chauvin on the spot.

We don't allow police officers to murder people in the streets - when they do they either: 1. have a really good, justifiable reason or 2. they made a mistake and they serve time. Neither of these scenarios apply to Floyd's overdose death.

After you call someone racist, I would suggest you spend some time in front of the mirror thinking about whether you are projecting your own bigotry and racism onto someone else to deflect away from your own inner thoughts and, perhaps, actions.

Yes Floyd was a loser and probably a menace to society. Society in general is better off without his nuisance hanging around to disturb their lives. He was beyond rehabilitation but it all was probably not his fault, Yes, Floyd can take some responsibility anyways for his problems. He had known that lifestyle for a while and I bet and his parents did not do a great job raising him. His opportunities were limited. But all that is irrelevant and he didn't deserve to die.

The riots were necessary but the methodology used was far too inappropriate. The protests have resulted in more accountable police behavior though. Lets hope the process of the trial and results do not cause more harm to innocent people.

Murder? No.

Opioid overdose? Yes.

MURDER?? No.

Died of fentanyl overdose? Yes.

Can this be any more clear for you people? It's like liberals want him to have been murdered. They want a reason to justify the anger they have built up inside.
