There was the gun with one minute to go, I think Hassan waited a few more seconds and accelerated but it took her a bit to get away.

As much as i like to **** on the vaporflys, I wish Kosgei had been allowed to wear them.
"Maybe she's just a super responder to them." I'd like to give her a beter chance. Anyone know what half marathon pace they were oN?
66.52
wish i had been able to watch that...stuck at work. Good to see Hassan back to form after the monaco performance.
A really great field for an odd race. but pretty cool.
I think Hassan could have run a decent race in Monaco but gave up when she realized that she could not win or fight for the win and didn't want to settle for 3 or 4. With the considerably slower pace in the 1 hour run and 3 weeks more preparation, she is basically back in shape
Only 59 women have a quicker half time, all-time. On courses eligible for records.

i agree with the monaco assessment.
Anyone know why Kosgei hasn't shown up in the results yet? Could it be something with when she took a step inside the track?
Link anyone?
NBC sports not working and YouTube live feed is a joke..
Dumb pacemaking. This is why people should stop complaining about wavelight. The runners don't even see it.
and had heard she had a bit of a setback in training, so it wasn't a surprise she wasn't at top form at that time.
About 1:06:XX half pace this is 5 laps and some change under the half marathon distance and they were just under 5 minute mile pace.
What is Tim Htuchings talking about? He said Jakob had nothing to chase. He had the wavelight right in front of him on 3:30 pace. They need to tell us what pace the wavelight is on. But that was cool. I had him 56.43 for the last lap.
bad pacing again
so so stupid
and psychologically, more of a rabbit to see someone then a light at the periphery of vision
Kosgei was DQ'd!
Come ON man. They’ve said many times that wavelight is more for viewers that for the actual athletes

The pace making was too fast but I didn't think it really hurt Jakob that much. Jakob is very good at pacing himself. He was like 55-56 for the first 800 which is nearly ideal.

Yes. DQ TR 17.3.2: Lane infringement
Multiple athletes have stated, "what light?"... not sure it is visible to the athletes much, especially in daytime or under stadium lights.
it appears to be on hulu
Maybe it is like the swimming WR line on TV... for viewers at home.
