Over the past decade, the United States population grew at the slowest rate since the 1930s, the Census Bureau reported on Monday, a remarkable slackening that was driven by a leveling off of immigration and a declining birthrate.
But we are not getting enough immigrants from countries like Norway.
Trumpers would rather see the country decline than being more diverse.
And to answer your previous question on whether young people today become more "conservative" as they age, I think the answer is yes and no. Yes, in the sense they will become more conservative on economic issues. But I think today's young people are different from the previous generations in their acceptance of diversity. They grew up with Latino and Asian kids, and went to school with them. And they know there is nothing scary about that. I don't think that will change as they get older.

You really believe people of my generation were scared of Asian, Latinos, or Blacks? Gosh, you really have a distorted view of the society you live in. “Scary.” Really?

Biden sends trump lovers home devastated. They can’t stand prosperity because it’s coming from the one who mangled their orange god.
Yep like most of us they are personally profiting from Biden’s roaring economic comeback but they’re still angry.

Ironically Norwegians think trumpers are a subspecies, which is hard to argue. Norwegians want nothing to do with those mouth breathers. 🎻👋🏻

Clearly you’ve got loads of anxiety about “blacks wanting to dominate the world” so yeah, scared ❄️. And hiding out in Idaho from the scary blacks and libs while talking Q level nonsense on LRC is your answer. Unlucky for you, orange fat boy blew it and now we are back to that big demographic shift. 🎻👋🏻🥂8 YEARS OF AGONY
Why do Republicans always spread lies?
Republicans have been spreading a ridiculous lie that Biden is trying to ban red meat.
Do FOX-watching morans really believe this stuff?

I think it's more that Rs know it's the kind of stuff that fuels the base's insanity and rage, so they stick to that strategy. Nothing triggers a mouth breather more than believing something "american" is being taken away by libs.
Honestly, what else can today's GQP offer their base that would actually resonate with them? Any honest effort from the right to redirect the GQP ship toward something good will end in it's faster demise. They have long passed the event horizon.
I know there is plenty of time before next midterms and then 2024 but clearly the GQP only wants to further carve out their side and try to get some wins out of it trump style. I don't think they can win the Senate and certainly they won't be taking the WH back. The only reasonable voices on the right have been silenced and marginalized. What fools.
Be worried
Betting odds on Predictit:
Odds that the Rs will win
2022 House 67%
2022 Senate 48%
2024 WH: 47%
Solid chance the entire congress will flip next year. Imagine the damage a bunch of giddy trumpists will do when they get the gavels. It will tell them 'be trumpists, do it, that's how we win.'
I am also pretty sure Republicans will win the House next year.
Democrats won't be motivated to vote, since they are content now.
Republicans are beating the drum to take it back.

And they will eliminate the filibuster as soon as they get the chance.
This is the sole reason why Democrats might as well end the filibuster now while we are still in power. Then we can pass popular legislation and let Republicans try to run against it.
One of the many wonders and weirdnesses of US politics is that the Dems allow the Republicans to perpetuate the myth that blue states suck up money from the red states. I suspect most Dems even believe that.
Imagine if you will a Dem party that weaponized this problem like the Rs weaponize every chance to divide and anger. Imagine if a Dem campaigned on the promise to stop the red states from their constant taking more than their share of federal money. It would work, it would get votes, but the Dems won't do it. Because they don't play hardball like that and because blue staters tend to want to help people, not blame them for being poor.
other examples of this...Obama reduced the federal workforce but Rs made the nation believe obama expanded the federal workforce. Dems don't think 'I reduced government' is a sellign point, and the Rs just lie about things. (although to be fair, this one is vague because of a trend to use contractors to do work formerly done by fed employees. it's not as important as it may seem)

You’re a deranged liberal that perpetuates myths that harm minorities. Yet you believe your constant postings serve some purpose. Jacking yourself off, I suppose.

They will be even angrier once they find out that Biden is undoing the Republican IRS budget gutting that lead to a loss of 18,000 jobs, mainly for tax auditors. Those fake non-profits that drown the Republicans with illegal dark money "donations" are going be forced to pay taxes (and back taxes), rather that diverting their tax cheating dollars into Republican pockets.
https://www.propublica.org/article/how-the-irs-was-guttedhttps://www.washingtonpost.com/us-policy/2021/04/27/irs-biden-american-families-plan/John Kerry once again aiding and abetting the enemy. How many American servicemen did he cause to be killed? It doesn't get any worse than this.

2022 can't come soon enough. These Liberal clowns are attempting to irreversibly ruin what was once a great country with their idiotic progressive "projects" which will cause enormous damage to the country. I even bought an battery-powered lawnmower this weekend. I am doing my part.

all they hear from people they respect is that the Democratic Party will tear apart American and turn it into an anti-white socialist nation. it's absurd, but low education, low information believe it. And there is a very small leap from believing that to saying 'well Trump isn't a saint but he is what we need to save our nation and our race.'
The low information of trumpists is shocking and always underestimated by Dems.
The sorta good news is that almost all trumpers are patriots per their definition - they want the best for the nation. So a good leader could conceivably co-opt them into being good people again by appeaking to their patriotism.
Biden's not able to do that.
It doesn’t have anything to do with the quality of the leader... the only question is whether FOX and the popular right wing rags/radio is supportive. Most of the time, ANY dem will be made to look like Armagedom coming to finish white america. Obama was extra bad because he was black and Biden also awful because he destroyed their Jesus.
Other questions regarding low education/info folks:
1) What perhaps sizeable fraction of Trump's base IS well education? Not insignificant, I think.
2) Naive thought, perhaps, but pre-Trump I would have guessed that a person THAT ridiculously obviously bad (in SO many ways) would eventually burn through the however-foggy perceptions of even the most poorly-education and/or unintelligent American. Clearly, I was wrong....by tens of millions. Depressing, as always.

One problem I could see with this is that there are still LOTS of places throughout Trump country where kids aren't growing up with significant numbers of non-whites.
