The leader of the Republican Party gumming up the courts with useless lawsuits.
Sure, Trump lost again. He always loses.
This time Trump has to pay legal bills to the New York Times.
Bigger issue: Trump is again fighting against a free press. He has always said there should be less reporting and he keeps trying. If he were president he might succeed.
A New York judge has tossed out Donald Trump’s lawsuit against The New York Times, and ordered the former president to pay all attorneys fees, legal expenses, and associated costs. Trump filed the lawsuit in 2021, alleging that the newspaper, three of its reporters and his niece Mary Trump engaged in an “insidious plot” to obtain his private records for a Pulitzer-winning story about his tax issues. While the court tossed out Trump’s claims against the newspaper and its reporters, the claims against the ex-president’s niece have yet to be ruled upon. “The New York Times is pleased with the judge’s decision today,” a paper spokesperson wrote in a statement to The Daily Beast. “It is an important precedent reaffirming that the press is protected when it engages in routine newsgathering to obtain information of vital importance to the public.” The twice-impeached former president’s claims against the defendants “fail as a matter of constitutional law,” New York Supreme Court Justice Robert R. Reed wrote in his ruling filed on Wednesday afternoon, deeming the paper’s newsgathering as being at “the very core of protected First Amendment activity.”
Agip - everything you wrote here is about Trump. Just a friendly reminder that we do have a Trump thread and this should go there. Just in case you had not noticed, this IS the Biden thread.
This is not the "Dumb@ss Thread," but we let you post here.
Every sentence of your post was a juvenile insult to whom you are responding to. You bring nothing to the table but insults (and not even clever ones at that)? You have to be Flagpole.
F*** you, Sally. Hard.
Do you mock and make up lies about veterans, too?
And just like we don't kid ourselves that there are plenty of you disgusting Trumpers out there, don't think that there aren't plenty of us.
(I'm also way more modest than Flagpole, and way the f*** smarter - and better - than you and the other T's)
Hmm. You probably are more modest than I am. My problem is that I AM smarter than everyone here, and I know that comes across as being arrogant, but (not modest) it's just truthful...and I don't lie EVER. So, when faced with either lying or speaking the truth, I speak the truth. My integrity demands it.

You seem very angry. Rage even. What happened to you earlier to have so much rage in you? Not healthy - seek some help - you need it.
Your problem is that you think that anyone who tells you to F off/FU is filled with rage. Nah. Your general stupidity is an irritant and deserves an "F off/FU" from time to time. Truth doesn't have to have rage attached to it. I'm currently listening to the plethora of song birds outside while petting my dog, and in this very calm state, I can easily tell you to F off.

When it comes to the national rankings, The Weather Channel is followed by national public broadcaster PBS (+30), the U.K. news outlet BBC (+29), and The Wall Street Journal (+24) in national trust.

‘It’s not a crime if the president tells you to do it’ division.
Lawyers representing David Shafer, the embattled chairman of the Georgia Republican Party, are arguing their client should not be charged with any crimes for his actions following the 2020 election because he was following advice provided by attorneys working for former President Donald Trump. Throw away the key division. Unless you guys are now for short sentences and parole? Hard to keep 'conservatism' straight these days.
SENTENCE: Hatchet Speed, a former Navy Reservist from Virginia, ordered to serve 4 years in prison for obstructing the joint session of Congress. Sentence will run consecutive to 3 years he received in illegal silencers case.
Have you syndicated the blotter? We discussed Hatchet Speed in depth a few months ago.

Some cases make the blotter three times: Arrest, conviction, and sentencing.

Look man, it is well known that Hatchet Speed was a Mormon. So there is a religious/Morm theme playing out here on a certain level. Hatchet Speed is also a fan of the Unabomber and the Olympic Bomber, and probably some other bombers. Those are political beliefs. So we have the religio-Mormo-politico aspect going.
Judge McFadden (Trump instillation) sentenced Hatchet Speed to 4 years that is to run CONSECUTIVE to Hatchet Speed's previous 3 year sentence on gun accessory charges. So, (3 + 4) X 12 = 96 months in the federal penitentiary. Hatchet Speed will likely get USP (or FCI) Leavenworth penitentiary because he is ex-Navy. He is in the custody of the U.S. Marshals Service (USMS), which is a bureau within the DOJ.
Madison Brooks alleged rape and subsequent death have sparked outrage in the community of Baton Rouge, with fellow LSU students, mothers and the university’s president demanding justice for the student, Andrea Blanco and Rach...
Flagpole - Even I have to admit that you are a genius. A modest one at that! And all-around great guy! You are good enough, you are smart(est) enough, and doggone it people like you!!!

While you are listening to the plethora of song birds, safely in a calm state and petting your dog, I can imagine the gentle strokes against your dog's skin becoming more and more powerful as your rage kicks in. Your fingers begin to penetrate the dog's coat. the dog cries out but the penetration becomes more and more pronounced as the dog cries out in obvious pain.
Hatchet Speed presented some interesting mitigating factors in his Sentencing Memorandum. Basically, his major theme was he was there alone to "observe and support the objecting senators" and he had the providential misfortune to do that on a day that a totally unrelated riot had been scheduled. Hatchet Speed was a victim of coincidence and unfairly associated with the ruffians who just happened to be co-located in the same time-space continuum as he was on that fateful day so long ago.
Hatchet Speed also emphasized his Mormo background and had a lot of Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (LDS) members send in letters supporting his Mormonhood character. These seem to have had zilch effect on the Judge, who is rumored to be Episcopalian.
But ultimately, Hatch Speed was in the Capitol as an observer. He was a witness to history and wished to accurately record the shenanigans and hijinks of Pence and other traitors. How is that a crime under god, I ask you?!?! Jesus Christ, we criminalize every goddam thing in America now.
