We did materially worse than our peers during COVID, we polarize ourselves so taking a vaccine becomes a political act, we make into a villain those who saved millions of lives, and we are now, because of Republicans, less trusting of government health care officials. During the election a number of active and retired generals came out in support of Biden, and they got what they wanted: a war in Ukraine. And the piles of arms sales that went along with it. Trump was far too peaceful for their liking, as the generals (especially the retired ones) are deep in the pockets of the military industrial complex, and Biden is their pawn.

Williams ruled Tuesday that the claims at issue in writer Ryan Lizza’s story — “Devin Nunes’s Family Farm is Hiding a Politically Explosive Secret” — were essentially accurate. The judge said that conclusion was fatal to the suits brought by Nunes, his relatives and the company used to operate the dairy, NuStar Farms.
“The assertion that NuStar knowingly used undocumented labor is substantially, objectively true,” wrote Williams, an appointee of former President Donald Trump.
