Your reply doesn't strike me as consistent with the optimism of your initial post. "Great news" would be if the civic damage Fox does by promoting Trumpism would be substantively reduced by the departure of Carlson. Simply failing to find a "star" that shines quite as bright as Carlson would not qualify as "great news."
It would be great if something so simple could make a meaningful dent in Trumpism. But it won't.
I do think the firing of carlson will great for America.
