Thorvaldson kept it up and DESTROYED the course record! Max, Peters and Janke also dip under the old course record (17:13.47)
FWIW, the Northwest course usually runs about 15-20 seconds slower than the Midwest for elite boys, and a little more for the girls.

Will see where the ratings come out, but MW and PNW winners both 16:50. MW boy (Methner) was about 2 minutes faster. Will have to see on PNW. But my rough view says these times are about 20 seconds behind Tuohy who seems to approach 1:30 or so off the very fastest at NXN.

That was due to a error in the split: NC's #3 (Amelu Ruff) was marked as their #7, well behind where she was. She was their second finisher today as the #13 runner overall.

Yup, official results aren't published until after the awards ceremonies are concluded. Probably won't be up for another half hour or so.
The NW results being posted are the unofficial 5k finishing times, and quickly looking through to see where each team had individual finishers.

Correct. Stupid Nike doesn't let you see the results until after the awards ceremony. That way if they have made a mistake, they can't fix it until after they have announced the wrong winners!!

They have 6 splits prior to the finish, and it's a looped course. I assume there are 3 mats: 1 at the mile mark, 1 at the 2k mark (or 50m after after the 2k mark at the bottom of the hill), and then one at the 2 mile mark.
The "1k" mark would be the 2 mile mark pad, which is probably closer to 900m.
agree, no way Thorvaldson went out in 2:43, then only 5:01 for the mile....something is off
