The question I have is: if people weren’t suspicious when Sydney chopped 2 seconds off the 400mH WR in four years (which had just been broken in 2019), why would you now be suspicious when she’s running 48 low
Based on logic, the 50.37 is even more suspicious than a 48.29
Because people are stupid. As if a prodigy who works hard at their craft would not have the results reflected of their hard work.
How about a talented athlete with a coach with a doping background?

It took 12+years to fix the 800m womens london run but eventually that clean sweep will be awarded in the future once a certain fraudulent aussie is busted.
I think Cooper ran at least 816 m. running in lane 2 for one lap is 408m.
Lane 2 is 406.5m on a World Athletics standard track. But the first curve was in lanes, so at the most he ran 810m.
Of course not many competitors actually run just 800m. That requires an energy-wasting surge in the first 100m, and then doing all the pacing work the rest of the race. You could try tucking in right behind the leader, but everyone else is also trying to go for this position. You also risk getting swallowed up and boxed in from this spot if the leader slows.
Agreed but Sifan if she didn't love simply running so much to the point of doing these crazy triples would have stolen a title or 2 from faith.
Possibly Tsgay too if she didn’t run it too crazy.
Remember Hassan beat Faith in a 3:53 race in 2021 prior to the Olympics. Have to think she at least had a shot at her at the Olympics without previously completing the 5000/10,000 double gold and falling in the 1500 prelims.
This might be a dumb question but, can someone tell me where to find the world feed for the upcoming day 5 stream? The one with Hannah England and Rob Walker.
That's who I've had on peacock each day. Not sure if there's another peacock broadcast with Americans or if they're TV-only, but I've really enjoyed the Peacock feed (especially Hannah).
