Ok I see what made you mad.
You thought I was trying to pigeonhole you, as an individual.
I was speaking more broadly. A party platform, a legislative program, a way to look at the world.
What do conservatives want to do to the country right now?
Used to be clear. Simple. We all know what Reagan wanted.
They’ve tossed much of that overboard and are something else now - enemies of free trade, friends with dictators, anti-business,anti-NATO,
Dismissive of character in leaders, etc.
I don’t care what you think about god guns and abortion.
From what I'm seeing of your writing, I think that it would do you well to "somewhat care" (more specifically, understand) what assorted views a person can, in fact, hold. Because it might allow you to better understand that there are far more than two groups in this country. As always. There is no one single conservative identity or group anymore than there is one liberal of either. I know that you'd say that you do, of course, fully understand this. But when you ask (me), "What is the agenda of US conservatives right now? it suggests that maybe you don't ENTIRELY.
On this site, one mostly sees this from the Trumpers, who think that anyone who isn't a Trumper is a "lib." Ridiculous, of course. But then I also sometimes see if from the other side.
Of course, it IS true that there are only two PARTIES. What they stand for clearly matters and is clearly definable. People don't vote for "conservatives" or "liberals." They do vote for Ds and Rs. And yes, the R party doesn't stand for much good right now.....and a lot of bad.
