The confused and badly failing Democrat Party did nothing about Jeffrey Epstein while he was alive except befriend him, socialize with him, travel to his Island, and take his money! They knew everything there was to know about Epstein, but now, years after his death, they, out of nowhere, are seeming to show such love and heartfelt concern for his victims. Does anybody really believe that? Where were they during his very public trials, and for all of those years before his death? The answer is, “nowhere to be found.” The now dying (after the DOJ gave thousands of pages of documents in full compliance with a very comprehensive and exacting Subpoena from Congress!) Epstein case was only brought back to life by the Radical Left Democrats because they are doing so poorly, with the lowest poll numbers in the history of the Party (16%), while the Republicans are doing so well, among the highest approval numbers the Party has ever had! The Dems don’t care about the victims, as proven by the fact that they never did before. This is merely another Democrat HOAX, just like Russia, Russia, Russia, and all of the others, in order to deflect and distract from the great success of a Republican President, and the record setting failure of the previous Administration, and the Democrat Party. The Department of Justice has done its job, they have given everything requested of them. It’s time to end the Democrat Epstein Hoax, and give the Republicans credit for the great, even legendary, job that they are doing. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!!!

There is a good argument that the Fed has overreacted to inflation in keeping rates high just to hit an arbitrary target of 2%. 3% isn't the end of the world and a portion of that inflation is attributable to high borrowing costs. Also, the Fed is really the protector of the banks and equities markets and doesn't really care that much about the average worker. Greenspan made that clear when he tanked the economy to stop a hot labor market and rising wages. So, the Fed is keeping rates elevated because it is great for banks as they collector more in interest and it is good for markets as inflation is the number one killer of investment returns.

But there is also a good argument that the Fed needs to hold its powder. Most of GDP growth has been in AI and data centers. Companies like Palantir and NVIDIA have seen 1000% stock appreciation over the past 2-3 years. If (and when) this sector falters, we will be facing a huge equity bubble popping and there will once again be systemic risk. If the Fed slashes rates in advance of this bubble popping, it will have no room to move. And slashing borrowing costs ahead of this bubble popping may just let the bubble grow even more out of control.

Small businesses create the vast majority of new jobs in the country.

When rates are arbitrarily held high small businesses have less access to credit and cannot afford to invest in their businesses which negatively impacts job creation.

Cutting rates will help and it will happen in the meeting this month.

I agree that there is a solid argument that 3% is a better inflation rate target. But, even if 3% was the target rate I wouldn't blame The Fed for keeping rates steady when PCE has gone: +2.2%, +2.4%, +2.6%, +2.6% in April, May, June, July and the full impact of tariffs remains to be seen.

Nobody is saying that the fed cutting interest rates won't spur job creation. Just like tariffs and cutting interest rates spur inflation.

But, why will the Fed have to cut rates "now"? Job creation was strong throughout 2023 and 2024 when the Fed rate was at or above current levels. What's changed? Here's a hint: it's a fat orange monkey that thinks tariffs are a tax other countries pay implementing economic policies based on the feces that sticks to the wall.
