It keeps the healthcare system from being overwhelmed and allows more opportunity to treat people with other ailments.

It would allow businesses to open up to more capacity to help sustain the economy if the vaccination rate was very high.

The DeSantis question is getting interesting.

He's a trumper but seems to be able to talk through the blue/red wall. Not to everyone, but enough to win GA, for example. He doesn't infuriate the Dems like Cruz and Hawley.

Trump will not appreciate a fellow Floridian getting more famous and quoted than him. Trump understands star power and marketing and he will defend his position. Expect something from the Trump camp pretty soon that says, in effect, 'DeSantis remember you are a lieutenant in the Trump army. Not a general. Certainly not a commander in chief.' A brushback pitch, if you will.

Also, FL is turning into one of the worst COVID spots. While most places in the southern tier are improving, FL is not. Not that facts matter much, but to some people, sure.

Actually the vaccine (thank you Trump) does keep the person who got the vaccine from getting sick. That’s how vaccines work.

I never discouraged people from getting vaccinated. But there is a vaccine (thank you Trump) that keeps YOU from getting sick. Don’t try and guilt people into getting it if it is their choice. Just to clarify, while that person presumably can vote and does, he is not an american. On top of it, he is an idiot for suggesting there is no danger once you get vaccinated. It's amazing how these trump lovers are so proud of having ridden the short bus.

Rick Scott is a POS, and his warning is ridiculous, BUT, unless something really unique happens, the GOP should do well in the midterm elections. That's just the way it typically goes.

no one knows, obviously, but I think these midterms could be different. Without Trump on the ballot I think there is a good chance R turnout collapses. They only love their autocrat - they don't love Rick Bloody Scott.

Whereas the Dems, I think, can be counted on to vote in quite large numbers, on the threat of losing congress to trumpists.

I see Trump and January 6 as a once-in-a-century things. He completely changed the electoral math and assumptions. I don't think previous elections are all that predictive anymore.
