So where is this "evidence?" You seriously disappoint me to turn out so mind-bogglingly stupid.
They actually said all 17 agencies, even though most of them would never have been in a position to see or evaluate anything. The main three spoke not of evidence but of "confidence" which is not evidence. For "evidence" the DNI released a bunch of blather about RT. They have media? How dare they.
And ewfrq23 said "hacking." There is not and cannot be evidence of hacking, since the FBI never examined the servers and there's no legal chain of custody. You of all letsrun posters should realize that, always babbling about anti-doping rules.
Okay, fine, you want to go down the pedantic hole, I'll follow.
12+ is a reasonable representation of 17. No?
"hacking" is an imprecise term and now you want to capture the definition of the word and manufacture a denial. Let's do away with the word altogether.
Both political parties election operatives were successfully phished during the election. Was that just the ease of which phishing can be accomplished? Maybe. Somehow, democratic email resources were phished and then published. Those are facts. Based on those fact, I don't know and don't assume anything about those very murky circumstances with which Democratic emails were then published.
You don't really understand how cleanup after a successful penetration works, then you double down and throw in some legal mumbo-jumbo to pretend nothing happened.
According to Comey, Russian Statecraft was being employed to influence the election. That's a fact.
Do I immediately go to the "blame the Russians" excuse? No. The Dems lost and lost big, external State influence is almost immaterial.
Trump is likely a useful idiot for the Russians more than he understands and probably for many years prior. To argue against establishing facts to clarify the situation is putting an individual ahead of your national interests.
There. I went down the pedantic tunnel. Enjoy. If you've made it this far.
