Bob Bodkin and Austin Sedicum are both fuel-belt wearing jackasses. There is no record going to be broken. In their mind this is a marketing ploy. They think this is funny. Please don't take these people seriously.

You're way overthinking this thing.

I spoke with Dr. Sedicum over the phone last night; he said that Ms. Greathouse is the real-deal, has data and even video of her workouts and 10-mile time trial where she supposedly ran that 51:31. He said that they weren't going to post anything until after the race, as they wanted to let her sneakers do the talking. That statement leads me to believe that this isn't anything more than just using the internet to market the race/his business.

I'll reach out to him again next week when he gets back from Arizona.

I also spoke with someone from the Quakertown Rotary; they said that they were approached by Sedicum about Jill running the race. The person I spoke with made it sound like they aren't the driving force behind this, which is good, as it would reflect poorly on them as an organization if they were part of some sort of misrepresentation, even if it is to market the race.

The timing company knows nothing about Jill, which isn't surprising, since she's never competed in a race before.

So, I talked with a friend last night who lives in the area. Here are some bulletpoints of what she had to say:

- This whole thing is a joke to get more attention to Dr. Sedicum

- Both Bob and Dr. Sedicum are infantile pranksters

- Dr. Sedicum is known as being a deceiving person and most people do not trust him.

- Dr. Sedicum will do anything it takes to come out on top, even if it means cheating. She thinks he might be a serial cheater but has no proof.

- You couldn't pay her to see Dr. Sedicum for foot issues. First off, supposedly he doesn't know what he is doing and secondly he seems like a perv.

The guy writes for Runner's World which completely discredits any advice he has.

Does anyone still thinks this is not a marketing ploy? I think the direction of this thread should be to expose Bob Bodkin and Dr. Austin Sedicum as cheats.

Bob and Austin are extremely slow. Like, I could walk faster than them. I think they just like gearing up with Tri-Tights and fuel belts and getting away for the weekend. Might be gay - which is cool
