Those ten people are certainly much faster than you. I wouldn't be surprised to find out that you could not mae nationals in diii cross. You are a huge moron for trying bump to this post. why don't you want others to enjoy the sport you enjoy? perhaps because you are afraid of people faster than you? Dickinson crushes Haverford at Centennial Conference. First time Haverford didn't take home the title:

Dickinson 23

Haverford 43

Johns Hopkins 81

Gettysburg 106

Hopkins women cruise on women's side.

I was at there, at the meet (injured, of course), but the race was pretty amazing. To finally see Haverford lose after never losing the Centennial Conference. Dickinson just looked plain great during the race.

The finish went: Dickinson, Haverford, Dickinson, Muhlenburg, Dickinson, Dickinson

Johns Hopkins looked good, but Gettysburg looked like they had a really off race. The best part of the race, however, was when the lead group of runners came through the 2K mark in a massive pack of Haverford, Dickinson, Johns Hopkins, and Gettysburg, and it looked like (to anyone who did not know about the teams in the Conference) that any one of the teams could have taken it at that point, because the top 5-7 from each of those schools were in the pack at that time. The pack broke up by the 3K mark, though.

Think it was actually: Dickinson, Haverford, Muhlenberg, 4 Dickinson Guys. All 5 Dickinson guys made all conference. Changing of the guard I'd say. Haverford had a guy drop out real early who was 4'th last year I thought. Since they only had one front-runner that doomed them really.

I was coming across the athletic fields as the top guys were finishing, so I could have mixed up Dickinson and Muhlenburg. I mean, let's get some original colors. Three schools all don't need to have red as their signiture color, and then Swarthmore with that darkish red - come on.

As for a changing of the guard...I'm not sure. Dickinson is really strong, but this is an off year for Haverford. They have that really talented freshman who ran sub-par today, but they are still a ridiculously good running school.

I mean Dickinson will have 3 guys before Haverford's #1 returner with the last one 16 seconds up on him. That being said, Haverford has 2007's Conferences 3'rd 4'th and 11'th finishers potentially on next year's team, and none of them finished today? It is odd. Haverford will be very good, but Dickinson will be stacked at least through 3 guys.

Dickinson also ran a man down today (one of their varsity was missing)...and I believe none of their top seven are graduating.

Hulleberg has a broken leg, Lanham DNFed today, and I don't know who the other finisher is because I can't find the complete 2007 CC cross championships results.

any thoughts on the national picture after conference weekend? Looks like some new contenders emerged compared to a couple weeks ago...

Guierrero from NJ seems to be coming around

Ruon from St. Olaf crushed the MIAC conference along with co-favorite Greeno and company

Mull from Wheaton dominated their conference meet with North Central packing it up well. North Central is a bet to be a trophy team but needs a great place at nationals out of their #1 runner-Spain

Stevens Point won their conference by just a few over an improving Oshkosh team. Oshkosh looks to be better this year with Kaul out front

Lacrosse looked very average...Should be better in a few weeks.

Dickinson huge win over Haverford!

Chenoweth and McKay 1-2 in the IIAC-both returning AA's (track 5k, CC)

Keene St. and So. Maine duked it out hard at their meet with Keene being too deep in the end

Christianson from Calvin is in the best shape of his career it would seem.

Allegheny will be tough at natties again.

National Predictions... in not much of an order after the first (3) :

Kosgei, Kaul, Christianson, Ruon, Mull, Nally, Dubois, Chenoweth, Faller, Schneider, Meyer, Towle, Moran, Russo
