Majority of track coaches are male. God forbid a female steps into coaching.
You’re taking what I said out of context. I wouldn’t care if majority of track coaches were female if the hiring of these coaches were comprehensive. If their aren’t enough qualified men and you must hire a qualified female then hell to the yeah more power to them. Im married and I have a daughter, I am not against women. Why aren’t women fighting for football coaching positions wouldn’t that be fair? Oh because women don’t play football it’s ok right. Why is their more men track coaches, maybe because more men are interested in the career doesn’t mean they shouldn’t have a fair chance because the position NEEDS to be filled with a female. Until you experience that and have that told to you you shouldn’t speak on it
Feel people are getting off topic. What sprints positions are opening?
There’s no need for someone to point that out. The topics are all related to coaching just post what you wanna talk about and the appropriate person will reply to you. That’s like me saying just keep checking the job sites for sprint openings cuz most ppl here are distance coaches well that would be wrong.
What is the reason for the removal at VMI? The press release seems intentionally vague.
If there is a Shenandoah Valley School that is underperforming it's not VMI. I though they were doing about as expected; from the outside looking in it doesn't seem well resourced. Anyone have some insight?
How is there no need Tookie Tookie? People are on here degrading other coaches and programs for jobs that will not open up. That should be for another thread. It’s okay to state concerns and opinions about programs that have postings. But people are getting in depth about coaches and programs and those coaches will keep that job for another 10 years. So yes back on topic about Sprint Jobs opening up.

Not sure who hates interacting with Zack the most. The kids on the team, his former assistants (1-2 a year had left since he has been there), or the SoCon coaches who had to interact with him.
The alumni pulled donating money until he was removed. Multiple title 9 complaints as well from athletes, coaches, and vendors.
VMI is well resourced, have you seen their brand new indoor facility? Top notch
Yes, a top notch facility (about 10 yrs old, newly resurfaced), but facilities are only part of being 'well resourced." Other areas needing resources may not be on par. I don't have information, but it is plausible they may not scholarship well - or perhaps they don't have as many coaches as other programs - nor get paid similarly.

We were literally talking about a coach that was removed from her position at Oklahoma so I’m not sure what you’re on about but I get it
Keep in mind that VMI is a state funded military school that competes in a FCS conference. Resources are good, but still limited. Recruiting base is limited to those willing to go thru a military type education that is not an Academy.
