Will be rooting for this guy to get his first global medal. Your time will come big dawg
Still a chance it'll end up being today.
What he wants and thinks doesn't actually matter. You think Nigerian track and field will pass on a medal because their athlete is philosophical about the situation?
Pretty much what happened with Farken and Hocker. This isn't about Nathaniel, it's about the Nigerian NGB
MJW has quick turnover. She has really risen to incredible heights. Hunt is a shock silver, so I looked her up. She's 23 and had good drops this year to 11.02 (a tenth better) and 22.14, but had already run close to that this year and shockingly, six years ago at just 17, she ran 22.42, which is an incredible time for that age. Honestly, though, this is a time that multiple American collegians have reached. Steiner, for instance, was in the 21.7s years ago before injuries. So, what is surprising isn't that Hunt ran 22.14 but that it was good enough for silver, what with the age-related decline of the Jamaicans and a few injuries on the U.S. side.
Taking a look at Anna Hall's PR from earlier in 2025 at the Hypo meeting side-by-side with Tokyo. She's 7 points behind where she was in Hypo. If she were to hit PRs in the next 3 events, she'd finish with 7079, eclipsing her existing PR of 7032.
Safe to say Jackie Joyner-Kersee is still untouchable, but an even better PR for Anna isn't out of the question.
100H Tokyo - 13.05, 1117 points Hypo - 13.19, 1096
Bol may not be at the surreal Sydney level, but this was still the 9th fastest performance ever; it's her fastest in any championships; it breaks the stadium record (held by Sydney from 2022) and only herself & Sydney have ever run faster.
Jasmine Jones fantastic time in silver is the 21st fastest time ever and cements herself as the 5th fastest woman ever.
Which one? The one representing Portugal? The one representing Italy? The one representing Spain? The one actually representing Cuba? The triple jump is a game of "my Cuban is better than your Cuban"!

Thanks. I was trying to follow the multis, but I was struggling to find any sort of "points summary so far" page on the results.
Even if Hall falls a bit short of her Hypo performance, only JJK and Klüft managed more than one performance above 7k. And only JJK managed it twice in one year.
I'd love to see her edge above Klüft on the all-time list with a new PR, but it's exciting to see Hall on track for another 7k performance. (Not to mention that even after 6 events, Hall absolutely brings it for the 800m.)

The cumulative points are in the "points" tab just above the "summary" tab for each event, here's the summary at COB today:
WELCOME TO THE WORLD ATHLETICS CHAMPIONSHIPS TOKYO 25! The World Athletics Championships will be held in Tokyo from 13-21 September 2025. More than 2000 athletes from some 200 countries will come to Tokyo to take part in one...
FEMKE BOL WINS AGAIN!!! 51.54, WHO EVER DOUBTED HER!!!
Even on this fast track and perfect conditions, can only manage 51 mid. She should be glad SML is now bored with the 400H or this would have been another arsewhipping.
