yes, he ran 2:19...good for mere mortals, but Henry could have probably run a 2:10 if he would have seriously run a few in his prime.

Hi Henry; Good to see the training is going well. Have fun at the race.
Henry, how did the time trial go this morning?
Good luck at Carlsbad!
This morning:18mwp +42mhc + 12mcd=72 minutes.
At 9:30Am was doing 5k time trial in 20:36 minutes.I was number three, the winner ran 18 minutes flat, second got the time of 20:34 minutes and the fourth place was 22:41 minutes.
I have another 5k on April 25,2008.I need more competitors on my Mobile RonoRun Mile meet.Next week I am heading to Carlsbad for another 5k meet.
This is the time to look back of 1978. How was it comparing with today running world?
Henry
nice job Henry. I assume that your race was a training run, as you surely should be able to run 18 minutes like the winner did. You did not run all-out, I am guessing. However, this shows me that you need to 'get faster' and start some tougher, faster training. Good luck to you.
Henry: I guess you were able to find a sponsor or get a plane ticket to San Diego for Carlsbad 5k next week? Great. I will drive down from L.A. to watch you. It doesn't sound from your training log that you are anywhere near 17 flat or faster shape. I hope you have just been holding back and will run a good time. I will see you there!
The minute I have a ticket I will know how fast I will do in Carlsbad. If not just wait until I put my meet as I did today in low elevetion.
I want to take Mobile RonoRun meet to California in the low altitude and it is going to be a 5k.I need a sponsor to do it.I cant do it on my own,I am still a young kid in town.
Henry
This morning I got:23mwp+43mch+ 18mcd=84m minutes + 15 weight training + 18 minutes steamroom.I will tell you later about Carlsbad if I will get be there.
Henry
This morning:21mwp+45mhc+19mcd=85 minutes +15 minutes weight exercise+ 18 minutes steamroom,I am better today than yesterday.
Henry
I gues I cant get there because, they say my running qualification is too low,so to be entered in the meet is void, unless I run 13:06 minutes in 5k that could enter me in the meet.I told them I am working on it,I have not given up still running.

????>????
Not 13:06 no American Pro went 13:06 last year nevermind a 55 year old LOL!! Teg was list leader with 13;08 with Fam and Solinsky going 13:12- only 3 under 13:15
I am becoming a race director soon,so dont worry.I got all figured out.

I did my two hour thing here in Albuquerque,New Mexico,I am back to my running route. From my house up north to commanche turn left and another left head south on to Tramway Blvd to copper RD and my lock says 125 minutes.I am just getting up now from 90 minutes cat nap.
Next month I will be horsing around through out the world.I will start off with a mile in Cincinnati, Ohio May 2,seven days later Oslo, turn around California meets. Then, turn around European meets and so forth, until your ears full of Rono-Running-Feet.
To answer your quesion I didnt get to go to Carlsbad meet. Why? ask them.I wanted to.
By the way I am organizing Mobile-RonoRun-Mile-Race around the world.Beginning in Cincinnati next month. After the meet I will do coaching clinics.
Henry
Mr Rono: if you are going to run distances from the 10k on down to the mile; isn't it time to move on from the 'marathon training' to some faster workouts? Maybe a couple of track sessions a week? To race fast you have to train fast. (as you well know). Good luck this spring and summer. Here's hoping you run some good races and fast times (for the 55-60 age group-but I think your training needs to get faster at this point). I (and thousands of people) are hoping all the best for you!
You hit the nail by the head ,I need fast, faster, and more faster feet very soon to move to level III.I cant take my feet around the track without precision fast movement.
I have done based work as we speak,I have something on the way, once I move that rock out of my way,I will see a clear picture then,by the middle of April my intervals will begin.
I planned at the beginning of this month, however, the rock was still standing on my way.I will have a clear way on April 15.

There's a familiar name!
I was going to run along Rod Dixon, perhaps kick him at the end to finish 18 minutes flat or better.
