US cases continue to climb: Up 29% from their March low.
But deaths keep falling. We're now generally below the number of deaths during the summer '20 lull.
Globally, the numbers are very bad. Skyrocketing cases and deaths. No signs of moderation yet.
How much of all new global deaths is Brazil and India? Take them out and it has to be looking somewhat ok

I hope so
Maybe Monkey's Typing can do that for us

Increases due mainly to blue states. And What is dementia Joe doing? Sitting with his thumb up his a$$. No lockdowns. No mandates. He sure did talk tough on COVID when he wasn’t prez. Now he’s a wuss on it.
I hope he thanks Trump every day for the vaccine. Something dementia Joe and the experts said could never be done so fast. Trump did it though despite all the nay sayers. A modern miracle.

That's a lie that you keep repeating.
It would be like saying they determined that OJ Simpson did not kill anyone.
You are immoral.

Although, India's number of deaths seems high, the US death rate per 100K is more than 3x as high as India's. Brazil is a different matter with 6x the US 7-day average and 20x India's.
Unfortunately, it's a pandemic and we can't just take out a state, country, region, etc. Otherwise, the current US death and case rate would look a lot better if we took out the Northeast and Midwest.

Wanted to know if they were complete outliers and if rate of death globally ex these countries is actually going down? When this thing is finally under control I believe India will be number 1 in total deaths, Brazil will surpass the US by a bit and we will be somewhere in the range of 650-700k deaths. Relative to its total chunk of the world's population, I think the US will still be worst in deaths.

Trump did NOTHING regarding the vaccine other than call it "Operation Warp Speed".
He ALSO suggested we inject disinfectants (and NO, he wasn't joking), and he minimized the virus at every turn, politicizing it, leading Trumper morons to refuse wearing masks or doing any social distancing. His actions for sure killed tens of thousands of people if not more.
Trump is a moron and is the biggest Presidential stain this country has ever had. You are a fool to give him any credit for anything.
Hugo Chavez was popular too. Look how that turned out. "El Comandante" Biden is steering us down a similar path.

Don't overlook the fact that India tests for Covid at roughly 1/10th the rate the US does, and until very recently it was more like 1/30th the rate. And (I am assuming) the tracking of total deaths in India each year is less comprehensive than in the US. This is a roundabout way of saying that India is probably much higher in terms of prior cases/deaths than what is officially confirmed and that will probably never change.
As someone noted above, a population normalized view might be helpful, but here's absolute numbers over time.

Brazil dominates world deaths.
India is growing at a frightening rate
Argentina, Columbia, Iran, Polan, Ukraine all on long term upward trajectories

That's been the go to right winger line since he took office. Funny you never bothered to draw any comparisons between trump and mussolini or some other fascist clown. Good luck!

Brazil has super shady stats and tracking as well. Likely much worse.

Hard to reconcile the two bolded statements. Brazil has ~65% of the population that the USA has; if Brazil surpasses the USA's death total "by a bit" then it is certainly the case that Brazil will have more deaths per capita.

Mexico tests fewer than any of those countries, which is probably how you wind up with this:
