Maybe there’s something to this ‘terminate the Constitution’ guy. Ok I’m in. Get rid of it and hang Mike pence.
For the first time in 30 years, there have been 0 shooting victims in New York City for a 5-day period. This is the longest we've gone without a shooting victim since the beginning of the CompStat era and is a result of the brave work that the members of the NYPD do every day.
Do you have a life outside of posting about politics on letsrun?
Curious that the one poster that the Trumpettes most often complain about and ask their brilliant question of, "do you have a life outside of LRC?", is the one poster who most often brings actual facts to the discussion.
So why did a majority of Hispanic men vote fro Trump?
They didn't.
"In a historic night for Republicans, who increased support across most demographics including Latinos, a majority of Hispanic voters — including men — voted for Vice President Kamala Harris."
Updated as of 11/13/24: Correction below on total vote of Hispanic men. Previously cited percentage pertained to Hispanic men between ages 18-39. Economy

A US citizen is significantly more likely to be killed by law enforcement than by an undocumented immigrant. Here's why: Statistics: Fatalities involving law enforcement in the US are far more numerous than those attributed to undocumented immigrants. Studies consistently show that undocumented immigrants are less likely to commit violent crimes compared to US-born citizens. Important Note: It's crucial to understand that these are statistical trends. Individual cases of violence can occur by anyone, regardless of immigration status.

Tell that to Laken Riley’s family.
Laken Riley was murdered by an undocumented immigrant.
Therefore it is impossible for undocumented immigrants to be less likely to commit violent crimes compared to US-born citizens or for fatalities involving law enforcement in the US to be far more numerous than those attributed to undocumented immigrants.
Important Note: It's crucial to understand that these are statistical trends. Individual cases of violence can occur by anyone, regardless of immigration status.
If you believe this, then you should feel SAFER living in these south American countries (which have some of the highest murder rates in the world) than the US.
Or...the people coming to the U.S. might, on the whole, be precisely the kind of law-abiding people who'd want to escape violence in Latin America. That could be another way to go.

Simple question for a simple mind. If there were fewer illegals, would there be more or less crime?
Simple question for a simple mind - do you understand that what matters is crimes committed per capita and not total crimes committed?
I know that's a tough concept for someone like you with a very simple mind. But give it a try, see if you can figure out if you would be safer in the United States, where 20,000 murders occur each year, or on an island populated by 10 people, all of whom are murderers, but where the the maximum possible number of murders in a year is somewhat lower than 20,000.
"In a historic night for Republicans, who increased support across most demographics including Latinos, a majority of Hispanic voters — including men — voted for Vice President Kamala Harris."
From my link above: "Latino organizations today released key findings on Hispanic voter motivations and election choices, based on interviews with a representative sample of 3,750 actual Hispanic voters."
Re the (smaller sample size) exit polling: "[E]xit polls, especially early ones, sometimes seem to show trends that don’t turn out to be true after all the votes have been counted. "In 2016, for example, exit polls showed Hillary Clinton ahead of Donald J. Trump. Later, they showed a majority of white women voting for Trump. Both of these narratives proved to be untrue. In 2004, early exit polls showed the Democratic nominee, Senator John Kerry, with a strong lead. He wound up losing to former President George W. Bush by two percentage points."

So today Trump is again saying he wants to get rid of FEMA. If a hurricane hits Florida let them deal with it.
Please allow me as a seasoned Trump watcher to explain what this is about.
Trump doesn’t care about saving federal funds. And he isn’t doing this because he is sadistic loser. It is much more simple than that.
Trump knows there will be upcoming disasters and he simply doesn’t want to deal with it. He has spent the last 4 years bashing Biden and Harris for everything FEMA has done. So when upcoming suffering takes place in the next disaster he will just blame the states.

The people coming here illegally are law-abiding?
If they're here to claim asylum, they're following the law.

^Simple mind - that’s real obvious. 🤦♂️
Would you rather have 100 people murdered each year or 105 people murdered each year.
Are you people really this stupid or are you being obtuse?

I appreciate these posts.
Do you do any work with conspiracy nutjobs? Same logical exercise works there too.

So I can assume you are a gun control advocate? No guns no gun violence, right.
