How can they look at Trump and think he is a guy worthy of overthrowing all our norms, laws and democracy? He is the king you want for life? What is is about him that captivates you? What makes you swoon so much that you abandon any morals, principles and embrace everything he does?
I get the idea of wanting a King. But Trump?
He makes people think that anything is possible
Kinda like a child who has not understanding or rules or norms......
I hope I'm like agip when I'm older. I don't know if he's retired but I know he still runs, has money in the bank, and just dicks around on letsrun most days. That's the dream
Sad.
What is sad about the life I described above? Is it the posting on letsrun part, because that's what you're doing right now too. Is your life sad?
I think his lack of ethics or morality are part of why people like him.
They admire the freedom to be nasty and horrible.
Look back at how people liked it when Hitler said to be nasty to the Jews and gays and everyone whose skin color was wrong. People lapped it up and loved him.
Some people admire someone who is unbound by ethics or morality.
It might be the "idiocracy" symptom, or it might be something more subtle and present in more than just the "lower half" of the population--maybe it is something present in everyone, and some people are able to resist the call to evil more than others.

I think you got it.
Especially the way that lawmakers allow themselves to be debased by him.
Once they get around him and see the way he is allowed to flip the middle finger at everyone and everything including Justice they envy it deeply. They wish they could do the same. And they discover that they can flip the bird with Trump as well just as they hang close to Trump.

definitely there's a human nature appeal to admire outlaws and their freedom from having to follow rules, laws, morality, etc. People like that seem freer than regular people and some americans admire that.
Not great for the leader of the free world and the commander in chief of the USA though. I mean save it for your high school crush or a hollywood movie.

Among the incidents recounted to the FBI and cited in the affidavit are the following:
• Mr. Hegseth abused alcohol regularly and his volatile behavior caused family members to fear for their safety. Mr. Hegseth's second spouse had an 'escape plan' that involved texting a 'safe word' to friends and family to urgently request assistance without putting herself in more danger with Mr. Hegseth. This escape plan was executed on at least one occasion. • On at least one occasion, Mr. Hegseth's second spouse hid in her closet out of fear of him. While drunk in his military uniform a violation of military laws - Mr. Hegseth was so inebriated that his brother had to carry him out of a Minneapolis strip club. This occurred during a drill weekend with the Minnesota National Guard. • Mr. Hegseth regularly became so drunk that he passed out, threw up, and had to be carried out of family events and public settings, sometimes shouting sexually and racially offensive statements. Mr. Hegseth said that women should not vote or work, and that Christians needed to have more children so they could overtake the Muslim population. • Several other accounts of abusive behavior and public drunkenness.
Pretty good article by Jacob Silverman about the grifters who are filling up spots in the Trump administration.
On Ukraine, Trump is scheduled to have his first call with Putin. Russia has been sending out poison pills in advance of any Trump lead peace negotiation effort. Russia is saying that it cannot negotiate with Zelensky because he is not the legitimate leader of Ukraine because Ukraine has not held elections under martial law. Russia is trying to force Ukraine into holding elections so it can boost a candidate that promises a quick resolution to the war that would include a permanent ban on NATO membership which is a Russian pre-condition to negotiations. Zelensky refuses to hold elections while the country is under martial law. Trump has accused Russia of stealing plans for hypersonic missiles from the US and says that he will ask the Saudis to lower energy prices. Lavrov said that he saw no sign that Ukraine or the West were ready to hold peace negotiations. Putin gave a response to Trump's call for negotiations and repeated his previous tactic of kissing up to Trump in hopes that Trump will do what he wants. Putin's game will be to wait and see whether Republicans will drop funding for Ukraine, which will then put Ukraine in a position where it will have to give in to Putin's demands in order to get a peace deal. The only question is whether Trump will come out in support of extending military aid for Ukraine because he is mad that Putin would not come to the negotiating table so he could end the conflict in "24 hours".
first off, from what I've seen the only difference so far is that trump sends cameras to publicize deportations and Biden didn' t
and still apparently no farmworkers deported. Does trump actively want more rapes and murders and poisoning of American blood? I guess so!
This is why you lose. and will continue to lose. biden opened borders, those the facts. what you say is a prayer that is not answered in reality. man, pay attention to what’s up or we will put Trump in for 3 terms. it’s that simple.

right on cue- Taking your little talking point from the leaders. No one cares about your little idle threats bro. Trump won't even make it to end of this term

It will be very hard for Zalenski to have Trump as a peace deal mediator.
Trump does not give a rats azz about Ukrainians. He cares only about himself and getting a campaign promise filled for his ego. He will try to make Ukraine take a horrendous deal.
Putin has a history of being a liar so any deal that is made he would just violate anyway.
And of course you also have the problem of Trump not listening to any diplomatic experts because he knows it all.

We'll keep extending Trump's term until he dies (probably in 20+ years). I hope you're excited for >10 more years of Trump!
