Eliud Kipchoge's workout this morning, 9 weeks before London Marathon. Stronger than prior to Berlin?

Most of the times they are on dirt roads. They run it on asphalt when it's too muddy or every once in a while when big races are approaching. Also, can do them on asphalt when they get some new shoes to test. Overall i would say 70-80% on dirt roads.

No other groups with different paces for sure, and they tell them to follow the lead but not with any price. The purpose isn't to go 100% in a workout and feel absolutely trashed in the next. They are encouraged to follow as long as it feels hard but not exertive !! It's a big difference and please understand the terms accordingly.

I see that you dont understand what you told first about Sang and the group telling the not so good runners to run at their current level differs from the fact that the runners go with Eliuds pace from the start and hang on until it feels too heavy. There is no one telling them to run at current level. They just run the Kenyan style without any current level thinking , hang on until you cant follow anymore. The only runners in the group that runs current level is Eliud and Kamworor.

You're right with your point. That's why i meant through their current level, to let go the lead runners when it feels too hard and exertive, not to start the training run at a different pace or do slower repetitions. I hope it's all clear now.

You still dont understand. There is NO ONE telling them when to slow down or stop, they are just forced to do so because they run out of gas . They hang on until its no more possible to follow. Thats something different than your talk about current level. Its like a kamikaze style of running where only the best talents will survive and become great runners. The Kenyan style.

Does Eliud ever get sick, sore or tired so he needs to skip a day? It doesn't look like, but maybe sometimes they do 20 vs 30 x 1k because he's not feeling that good on that particular day. Do you remember him being ever sick or sore (closer than being inured sore than workout sore)? Thanks, Mzungu!
