This election isn't about a woke agenda or the economy or Biden's fitness for office or inflation or gas prices or anything of the sort. There are always enough contrarian voters in midterms to skew it toward the party not in power. There are people who ONLY vote in midterms for the party not in power. The party who lost the White House in the previous election is typically more motivated than the party who won the White House in the previous election.
So, if Republicans take the House and the Senate (as would be typical in this scenario), it isn't about any of your wet dreams about the country pushing back on Biden or any "woke agenda." It's just par for the course. You go get excited about it if you want to, but your excitement is misplaced.

I am not downplaying this election at all or the significance of it. The only thing I AM doing is saying that it is common for a midterm election to go to the party not in power and for no other reason than they party they are voting for is not in power.
Republicans are getting excited about this election because they think it's a rejection of Biden, a rejection of social progress, etc. It's not. It's just the normal way things go.
Now, the result of this normal election COULD be a problem IF those who are elected successfully attack the rule of law, reject The Constitution and decide that future elections don't matter.

You could not be more wrong. I rarely drink. In fact, I bought a six pack in June, and there are still 4 left in my refrigerator. I did drink the two that are missing as I do enjoy drinking one once in a GREAT while. Just not something I do. I have no need to medicate myself.
