to be fair even if the Dems lose they will almost for sure turn in one of the best mid-term elections in many decades. The ruling party always loses a lot - almost for sure the Dems will do far better than any other similar example.
So it's wrong to say that the Dems are failing. They aren't.
You're Baghdading extra hard today, agip.
gary man it's completely true. If the Rs only pick up 20 House seats and 2 senate seats, that would be a very very good performance from the Dems, a party in power at midterms. No idea why you are denying that.
You are boycotting this thread because "Adult becomes less unpleasant" but you have no problem with Flagpole calling me a stupid "mother f%cker" and every other expletive in the book?
fair point.
I just find Adult intolerable. he's grim, nasty, dishonest and unpleasant. Ruins the thread for me. He's not into argument...he just declares his misleading views in a nasty way and that's it.
But sure, would be better without FP insulting you. Agreed.
A rarity, I agree with agip! Flagpole has become a lot like Hooma with the constant profanity & insults.

Friend, the dems are losing the minority vote more and more each year. Dems are losing. They’ve believed “demography is destiny” for years and that the minority vote would default to the dems. Minority voters are trending more and more conservative each election. That’s a problem for dems and it’s not unique to this midterm election. I guarantee you that this issue keeps Democratic strategists up at night.
and yet the Dems elected a president and now control the house and the senate. And will likely do better than any recent midterm party in power at midterms.
The bigger problem is the white college vs non-college gap. I think that will likely drive MN WI MI to be red, and then Dems can't win the white house anymore. Unless texas flips.
The dems do need to stop treating the hispanic vote the same as the black vote. They are different. Hispanics are more traditional immigranty - in favor of bootstrapping and small business.
Only question is whether the shift continues or if this election is somewhat of an outlier. I think that the shift continues since dems seem to be married to their far left policies that turn off a lot of these minority voters.

remember when the right wing insisted that it was antifa that attacked the capitol building, not trumpers? And when the right wing said Obama wasn't born in Hawaii and Paul Pelosi was attacked by a gay prostitute?
Remember that when you vote. they will keep lying to you.
WASHINGTON—Stewart Rhodes, founder of the Oath Keepers militia, sought to distance himself from other members of the group on Monday, testifying during his seditious-conspiracy trial that his associates were “stupid” to have entered the Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021. Under friendly questioning by his lawyer, Mr. Rhodes testified that he wasn’t aware until after the Capitol riot that some of his fellow Oath Keepers had gone into the building. “I think it was stupid to go into the Capitol,” said Mr. Rhodes, speaking to jurors from the witness stand. “One, because it wasn’t our mission. And, two, it opened the door for our political enemies to persecute us. And that’s what happened and here we are.”

And what, pray tell, are these far left policies?
That is a question for democratic, and republican, strategists to figure out. One obvious example is immigration. Probably one of the reasons why republicans are outpacing democrats in Miami-Dade where 71.57% of the population identifies as Hispanic/Latino.
Dropping the term “Latinx” might be helpful as well.

Meh. Sounds like you hear right wingers yelling about ‘hard left policies’ and believe the right wingers because they are slick.
fact is there really aren’t many ‘hard left policies’ because the Dems are not a hard left party.
the repubs do a good job at calling Dems socialists and communists tho, and it sounds like it has worked a bit on you.

Meh. You shouldn’t be worried about ME. You should be concerned with republicans picking up 50% more support from Hispanics and African American voters. What I think is irrelevant, what they think is your issue.
nice try at a personal attack on me to dodge the issue at hand. Do better.

Big difference between Flagpole and Hooma. Hooma will simply call you a moron. Flagpole will call you an idiot a motherf%cker and every other name in the book. He will say that to anyone who disagrees with him. I bet Mrs. fFlagpole is a great lady and would leave him if she knew about his behavior here. No normal adult would act like he does.
Guess I shouldn't be surprised that Biden is surprised, but I really am surprised. Especially considering he just said anyone who doesn't vote for democrats is essentially a threat to democracy.

Yet Flagpole continues to support a corrupt Joe Biden, and Justice Department that covers up his crimes:
A whistleblower has come forward to claim they have direct knowledge of Joe Biden's involvement in son Hunter's foreign business deals while serving as VP.

Inflation and global warming measures make everything more expensive. That alienates everybody except woke rich white people that can afford $70k Teslas. Things like extreme abortion policies, transgender policies, and socialist policies (like the student loan bailout which was mostly targeted at young, white college educated voters) alienate a lot of Hispanic voters, especially those who fled socialist countries like Cuba and Venezuela.
