What makes America a *nation* are the people in it. Otherwise it's just a stretch of real estate.
What you are doing is pointing out an well-known anomaly, rather than a hypocrisy. It is possible to dislike large portions of one's fellow Americans, while still maintaining a deep love for the nation as a whole. In fact, most Americans maintain this type of duality.
Americans, in general, can't stand each other. We live in a competitive and capitalist society -- purposely designed that way be the ingenious Founding Fathers -- that fosters suspicion, jockeying, advantage and winning over lesser human instincts such as sloth, affection, conviviality and leniency. We are the country of John Galt, G. Gordon Liddy, Donald Trump, Clint Eastwood and Promise Keepers, rather than ponces like Alan Alda, Cesar Chavez and Simon & Garfunkel. The point is you can definitely loves America while despising large swaths of its population who don't really deserve American exceptionalism in the first instance.

Your confusion stems from the misguided belief that the idea that some might prefer Putin is an indication that they like Putin. You would be incorrect in that assumption. They don’t like Putin at all. It is more of an indication of how poorly they think of Biden. The question you are posing is like asking kids if they prefer liver and onions or calf brains with Brussel sprouts. You have to choose one. Neither one thinks much of America. Both seem hell bent on destroying it.
FWIW the Atlanta Fed forecasts 3Q GDP growth coming in at +2.4% and views the Blue Chimp consensus to be +1.2%.
So it does sound like Flagpole is correct that there is a broad consensus that the 3Q will have at least some GDP Growth.
