This sums everything up. Right here.

Some jealousy I suppose. Kavanaugh accomplishments excused as white privilege.

Most people do not have an Ivy League resume, so according to you that means most people are wrong. Douglas Burke, are not you an admitted sex criminal? Did not you admit to a heinous crime yet to be solved? Go back and read your Malcolm X/Kavanaugh post.

The left/Democrats have had to steadily move center as the Right/Repubublicans have consolidated power financially and politically ever since the 60s, accelerated after the ilk of Fox News' creation. You are living in an echo chamber and don't represent "the people", no matter how obnoxious you are with your opinions.
This thread is pretty much over now, congratulations to the victors. All I can say is those Dems, new age feminists, SJW's, looney lefties, etc, etc are a sorry disorganised lot who have pretty well guaranteed themselves six more years of Trump and two more of his Supreme Court picks.
Expect those who consider themselves morally and intellectually superior to continue shrieking and screaming at the deplorables for some time yet and just ensure more of middle America will move to the right. Saw a funny thing on the TV, there was a bunch of them carrying on outside some building and there were more photographers, media, onlookers, etc than there were of them haha.
Bring on November. Thank you and good morning.

Ford's not pursuing it for the same reason she never filed a police report in the county where the alleged event took place. She knows deep down that her memory is flawed and untrustworthy. For 36 years she didn't even trust her own memory enough to file a police report. And then in the throws of a feminist delusion, she thinks the rest of the world should bend over backwards and give her memories some credibility. She has no interest in the truth. She just wanted to do her "civic duty" and be used as a weapon by the Democratics in the delusional power hungry world she lives in.
The Surfer Psychologist was a phony all along. McClean was the link to the conspiracy to defame and delay the Kavanaugh nomination. Feinstein was the fixer. The Democrats overplayed the story, unleashing the crazy Avenatti claims, then asked for an expanded FBI investigation. Fortunately the Republicans put a time limit which was just enough to find holes in the Ford, Ramirez and Swetnick stories. The paid protesters were coached yet still appeared only as useful idiots. You would think in the age of the internet the Democrats would be smarter than that. Instead they demostrated that they were the gang that couldn’t shoot straight, totally destroying any credibility and firing up not only the Republican base but Independents. Truly amazing how the Radical Left blew themselves up.
The Democrats have embraced identity politics which fundamentally places group identity over individual merit. I do wonder if on average the Republicans are going to be able to outsmart the Dems more and more because the Repubs are staffed by smarter people. Rising in the Repub party depends more on personal merit (competency) rather than group identity (race, sex, orientation, etc.). Of course, you can still be an idiot and rise in the Repub party, but compared to the Dems, the idiots are less likely to rise to a place of power in the party.
As for the media, I think they've been telling lies for so long that they are beginning to loose their grasp on which lies have any believability to the average person. Of course they will always have a band of useful idiots that falls for everything they say, but I think they are alienating the Right, and now middle of the country. Or at least I hope that's the case. The prioritization of identity over competency is also having a negative effect on the main stream media's quality. Their articles are getting so much more difficult to read. The writing style is getting so disorganized. Further, so many of the journalist are brainwashed by post-modernism/post-structuralism in their journalism schools that I think many of them cannot even define the difference between the truth and a lie. Many of them literally believe there is no difference between the two.
Last two posters have done a great job summarizing were we have been and the contrast between the two parties. At this point it could not be more of a contrast.

Kind of depends on your perspective, don't you think?
I hate to break the news to you but the Republican party as a whole is not any better than the Democratic party. Both play their political games... both have sever shortcomings... and sadly, the US is become more and more divided.
If you are as intelligent as you feel that you are (assuming you are not just trolling) you will realize this is correct and work to repair the damage done by the two parties (and the media - who skew things from both sides). And finally our current president is not helping this specific issue. You may love his conservative agenda but he has been, and continues to be, very divisive ...in the long run that is not a plus for the country you love.
s/b... is becoming...

Actually I agree with everything you say. The difference is the rule of law, with the Democrats seemingly moving away from that to mob rule.

It is time to split the country into two. Let the Trumpers who want it only their way all co-locate in a contiguous red area (ND, SD, NE, MT, ID & WY). They can create Trumpland with Trump voted in as their dictator for life. They will be required to build a wall completely around themselves to create their ideal safe place. They can then ban all imports. They will have to ban all exports to make that work.
I am a hard-core centrist who dislikes both parties, but I am glad to see the metoo BS get exposed for the witch (warlock?) hunt mentality that it so often is. I m enjoying the death of identity politics throughout the globe.

This kind of where I am. Not a deep state conspiracy person. I do believe the power structure has become self-serving with corporate interests, military machine, handout lobbies, influencing the ying and yang of political extremism, while few voices are willing to address the most pressing issues. As the one poster said a “sad” state.

You perfectly described the Trump party; previously known as the republican party.

That is your simplistic answer for everything and the reason this view is losing ground.

So true.

For group identity read identity tribes, and what happens when you have tribes, you have fighting. What's going to happen, and has already happened in some cases, is these various tribes within the Democrats will implode.
You think the Dems are disorganised and chaotic?, you ain't seen nuthin' yet. Each tribe thinks they are morally and intellectually superior and will fight to the death and self destruction. Should be fun.
Here's an example of tribal infighting:
"The women represented a group called Get The L Out, which believes lesbians should remove themselves from the LGBTQ+ acronym and community, under the false premise that trans equality is holding up female liberation"

A better example is the Republican party fracturing apart, rebranding itself as the Trumpers, and shrinking in size to weed out the non-compliant. The Trumper party is growing smaller, and smaller, as it seeks to the holy grail of "perfection."
