The Russian Rouble hits a fresh six-month peak against its American counterpart on Friday, while amid a mass-scale Dollar-domination in FX market, Rouble jumped to a two-year peak against the bloc’s common currency euro, as the Russian Central Bank slashed its benchmark borrowing cost by 300bps (basis percentage point).
On top of that, a number of European countries had agreed to pay in roubles for Russian natgas including the bloc’s largest economy Germany alongside Austria among others, restoring investors’ confidence on the Russian currency.
Aside from that, resisting a deluge of sanctions aimed at crippling the Russ economy, the Russian Central Bank also had completed a bond payment on Sunday, reflecting remarks from the energy ministers of Qatar and UAE, who were quoted saying earlier last month it would be nearly impossible to replace Russian energy, while a higher energy price would continue to fill up the FX chests of Russian Central Bank.
On top of that, as Rouble became the best-performing currency against its American counterpart for second straight months in a row, gaining as much as a quarter per cent, the Russian Central Bank on Friday had agreed to pay off its debt-payments in Dollars instead Rouble, making a late U-turn.

This war is far from over. Russia, despite being humiliated in their poor performance, still can do a lot more damage in Ukraine. Yes, all is possible. The US got badly humiliated in Afghanistan for 20 years, only to retreat leaving $7 billion of military Equipment to Taliban cavemen, who rule there now.

Could happen to Russia too, which wouldn't too bad, considering the West is feeding Ukraine with $ in military equipment and intel.

To lose against unsupported cavemen is definitely much worse than to draw against brave Ukrainians with billions of $ in military aid from the West.

Silly Russian. The US lost 2,400 soldiers in 20 years in Afghansitan. At the current rate, Russia will lose that many generals in Ukraine, if they stay as long. Also, the USSR lost over six times as many soldiers in Afghanistan in half the time. The Soviets let a bunch of "cavemen" take down their entire empire.

No modern modern army has underperformed the way Russia has in Ukraine. They are a product of a failed country and a failed leader. They only thing Russians do well, anymore, is grift.

You actually believe the casualty numbers either country provides?

You actually believe the American propaganda mill? The most pervasive one there is? Well, of course you do, you're a brainwashed liberal. Dead Russian generals? There probably isn't more than one dead general. Russian army losing massively? Can you show me the Russian sites that are panicking about generals and the war in general? That show devastated and retreating armies? How about Chinese sites?

Do you think the US had a successful leader and a successful country? From all metrics and from the common word around the world is that it's the US that has failed as a country and has had failed leadership for years and with Biden, the damage is exponential. This is exactly why this leftist regime needs a war in Ukraine. And really wants this to expand to China vs Taiwan and NATO.
