Seriously sounds like a lot of BS. They had nothing really solid or tangible here, especially given they couldn’t pop an actual athlete. So they reached and nailed Salazar for some really cringe worthy and fringe infractions. I expect this to get overturned of NOP had the ability to challenge it.
Don’t get me wrong, I’d love to see NOP get actually nailed but this doesn’t seem like it’s it. It’s a reach to do something because of the popular vote. Pathetic.
Summary: he got away with most of it but we caught him on some small stuff.
Which other athletes used Brown? Not just NOP was it. I seem to remember Ryan Hall and others also using him. Anyone working with Brown has to be called into question at this point.

I was a serious runner in the 80s and Alberto Salazar was my idol. Then running ended, for me, after a stream of injuries (achilles, hip, toe, etc). So, I became someone who was just on the sidelines, but who loved watching the sport. I cheered for Salazar after London 2012. Farah and Rupp destroyed the world in the 10k. Yes!! And they shared the same coach, my former idol. The once great man was great again.

I feel sorry for Magness. He had to take thyroid medication against Hashimoto's for over 15 years even though he never had it AND was infused with unreal amounts of L-carnitine. Guy was a chemical experiment for Brown and Salazar, to test things on him before they use it on their precious, more talented athletes. No wonder he became what he did.
The difference between Salazar athletes like Hassan, Koko etc and top Africans was that the Africans often already are super fast at 17-18 and Junior events, whereas Salazar athletes join him in the early/mid 20s and suddenly gain a boost in performance after leveling off for some years (Hassan got over 2s faster in 800, 6s in mile and 10s in 3k. That's massive improvements on that level).
Good that the "masterminds" behind all of this got caught, but the athletes will get away.

Agree. It's strange but I almost feel sorry for Salazar given the context of the sport. Look at what is going on in comparison:
Jama Aden training group found with huge arsenal of EPO, steroids - nothing happened, no bans, nothing.
Kenyan athletes throwing out a truckload of positive tests for EPO, steroids etc - no ban on Kenya and road races organizers all over the world keep on inviting Kenyan athletes and handing over piles of cash to them and their managers. Foreign athletes are left totally free to go and train Kenya.
Kenyan team doctor openly admits to treating practically half of the Kenyan world championship team of distance runners with EPO prior to this year's world champs. IAAF allows Kenya to compete with no sanctions or questions asked.
Ethiopia - just doesn't bother to even properly test any of their athletes and foreign athletes are allowed to train in Ethiopia without any repercussions. Ethiopian runners remain free to run in races all over the world.
What this USADA ruling does show is that America is a morally upright country that actually does punish wrongdoing compared with many others. You can be proud to be an American today as the US has set a yardstick in morality for others to follow. I suggest that USADA takes over the entire doping control process for all nations in Track and Field in order to raise the moral values of the sport.

Yes. Americans don’t cheat unless they have to. Americans should be the best in the world but other countries don’t play fair. From Bikila to Yifter to Keino to Rono, East Africans can’t compete with Americans unless they cheat. Salazar had the guts to stand up to the rampant cheating. His minor cheating was heroic.
