Ok, thanks for the info. I read things on here, and saw a story on Yahoo about the letter that he wrote to his kids school district a couple years back.I didn't know that he ran NY that slowly and at this point, I too find it hard to believe he could run much faster that 3:50 at best. I just saw the video of him on a post where he was talking to someone on camera while running a marathon and yes, he looked like a guy with very bad form. Whoever is posting a $500,000 bet that he'll run 3:11 again is a fool, he has no chance.

Has he ran a race since the 3:11+ anywhere to verify that he still even runs at all even remotely close to a 3:11+ equivalent, or is he running races but just a lot slower? Me confused. Not a troll, but does he even run?
Whoever put up the $500,000 bet is a troll and a fool, as posting stuff like that can get you in a lot of trouble as the owners of this site surely have your IP.
He never ran a race PRIOR to the 3:11 or after the 3:11 that gave any indication that he could run a 3:11. Keep in mind, here was a 47 year old, male, who had only been running for about two years at most and something like 120 a month and has one of the worst gaits and strides every witnessed. He runs with splayed legs and knock kneed.
