Valby is very attractive and she is an Olympian. Tuohy is a below average professional runner with nothing else to set her apart. Obsession has disappeared.
This post serves no purpose. We need to support American LDR's. The only way America can compete with the rest of the world in distance running, is to have more distance runners starting at a young age.
I know people are going to hate you for that comment, however we have had posters saying for years that once she enter the testing protocol you will see a drop. And here we are. It could totally be coincidence or bad luck with injuries. Maybe time will tell.
In this environment with NIL and borderline non-existent testing, it's not out of the question that one of the stars of the NCAA would dabble in the dark side. It sucks that we have to question these things.
Why would people be upset about a fact? She slipped through high school and college without being tested. Very weird. And now she is getting slower and stopped racing. Those are all facts.

So you lost to her because you were tested during high school and college? That’s weird. You start winning only after you can stop whining.
I agree. Tuohy started whining a few years ago after losing a 1500 prelim. She started losing and had been whining and quitting ever since. Thanks for pointing that out. Guessing she doesn't have it in her to get back on the right track.

Cool story. Too bad an attractive woman like Valby would never go out with a pencil neck twerp like you.
Tuohy was a legit phenom from something like the age of 13 or 14. At what age do you guys think she started doping?
When she ran a 4:24 1500 at the age of 14 and 2 months?
Was it when she ran a 9:05 3k at the age of 15?
Maybe it was before the 15:37 at the age of 15.
Or maybe she didn't start until the 8:35 when she was 20.
Could have been when she destroyed Valby in the Cross Country Nat'l Championships.
When she ran 15:37 at 15 and 10 years later has not improved. Something shady going on
it took time, but she definitely started showing real improvement around 4 years later, especially notable when she almost won the indoor 3k in 22. And the peak of her running career was no doubt in the late winter, early 2023.

True, but he could probably get tuohy. As he said (and you didnt take issue with), she's below average.

When exactly did that happen? Now you're just making stuff up. Tuohy 5 wins by a total of 16 seconds. Valby 3 wins by a total of 82 seconds. Only once did Tuohy beat Valby by more than 3 seconds.
All of their races:
Nov 20, 2021 - NCAA XC - Tuohy by 7 seconds
May 28, 2022 - NCAA Regional 5000 - Tuohy by 2 seconds
June 11, 2022 - NCAA Champs - Tuohy by 2 seconds
Nov 19, 2022 - NCAA XC - Tuohy by 3 seconds
May 27, 2023 - NCAA Regional - Tuohy by 2 seconds
October 14, 2023 - Nuttycombe - Valby by 12 seconds
Nov 18, 2023 - NCAA XC - Valby by 28 seconds
June 14, 2024 - Olympic Trials - Valby by 42 seconds

we all know Tuohy was completely derailed by late spring/summer 23.
My take is that when you beat a legitimate PEER by 2 or 3 seconds, you've asserted your dominance.
When you lose by 10, 20, 30, 40 seconds, that person is NOT even your peer. By the time Valby is winning by 42 seconds, that is the equivalent of a world class runner versus a sub-elite hobby jogger.
